I'm hearing he's not too well at the moment.

Get well soon Dave.  UTM

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Funnily enough I saw him walking on the prom at Cleethorpes when I was back in Gy for the weekend a couple of months ago. He looked in the picture of health and was more than happy to have a chat. A true gentleman and a great ambassador for the club. Dave get well and I know every single GTFC supporter wishes you well.

Hopefully it’s nothing serious. The guy’s a legend as well as an all round good egg. He’s part of the reason why a lot of us are Town fans.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

It’s all been said above.

Can only add, the time he’s taken to have many chats about football in general have been amusing,
interesting and often enlightening.

Great man. Trust he’s not too bad - old soldiers don’t keel over too easily.

I sometimes have a chat with him if I see him walking the dog on the prom, I've noticed he has had a bit of a limp when walking recently but nothing more.
Anyway get well soon Dave.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

If that is the case (and I have no reason to doubt it) I sincerely apologise to Dave and to everyone on here. I had two different texts saying he had been taken Ill, clearly not the case.
At least I can (for once) be pleased to have been talking sh1t.  :-

Rob, I would imagine the original post would be a contender for ‘post of the week’. Please disregard as it clearly shouldn’t be.

If it was a mistake Civvy it was a good one. Better to show our appreciation while someone is well enough to enjoy it. Much better than waiting to say ‘X WAS a great bloke’ 👍

Civvy, you was correct, Dave has been ill, I am not going to disclose his medical condition, as that is a personal matter for Dave to disclose.
Good to see Dave out and about, doing what Dave, does best, chatting away.
A true club legend and a gent.
Look foraward to seeing you at BP on the 10th August.
