James McKeown has won the League two player of the month award for Oct. Richly deserved, I just hope one of our forwards can win it in the coming months!

Well done to McKeown but it unfortunately shows where we are at the moment.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Eh? I think you're looking for a negative here when there isn't one. If we'd have been near the top and our keeper had kept 4 clean sheets and had played so well I'd still expect him to be in the running for POTM.

Well done Macca clearly deserved. Outstanding shot stopper but I just wish he could improve at collecting crosses.

This one crops up all the time...

If he was better on crosses and commanding his area, arguably his distribution too, he most definitely wouldn't be at this club or indeed this level.

I actually thought he commanded his area very well on Tuesday against a Mansfield side that were more than happy to launch crosses into the area.

Aye, he made the conference team of the year once or twice when 'where we were' was 3rd or 4th.

Too right I'd have expected him to chip in with a couple of assists

Not at all Louth. Couldn't give a sh!t about the red crosses to be honest. It's just how people think on this forum. But I suppose it's just easier to hide behind a red cross than actually state why disagree.

He’s absolutely class, given us so many great goalkeeping moments and is a really nice guy so good to see him get some recognition outside of our club

Apparantly he’s only the 3rd goalkeeper to win a potm in any of the efl leagues in the last 5 years

It’s probably because people think your dissing someone when they’ve won an award, instead of praising them!
I didn’t red cross you btw!

I agree, he collected a few crosses against Mansfield when they had players challenging. He has seemed a little better the last couple of games, maybe they're working on it with him. If he can improve this and his distribution a bit more, then he'll be moving up to league 1, because his shot stopping ability is very good for this level.

He’s been pretty solid with that from what I’ve seen this season

He's one member of the current squad I recognise easily. Club legend.

Its not just shot stopping he excels at, he has always been pretty good at 1 on 1 situations too but seems to have got even better at those as well. On tuesday i actually expected him to win out in both 1 on 1s, not because he should have, he had no right to stop both, but because ive such belief in him in those situations.
Almost single handedly prevented tuesday nights score from being embarrassing.
