Passionate guy but not enough to save a sinking ship. Third manager in a row to get the sack with this current bunch of players. Been a steady decline since Wilder left for Sheff U

I said a few weeks ago that Jolley’s affable nature would probably be worth a couple of extra games to him over a less likeable manager.

I think he’s now into those two extra games; I just don’t see a result from Carlisle or Port Vale. I like Jolley, and I’m not one for knee-jerk decisions, but eight straight defeats would be indefensible.

He might go sooner of course, but given the lack of replacement options I feel we’re as well to stick with what we’ve got a tiny bit longer.

An uncomfortable parallel, perhaps?

Number 1 on Fentys list 👍

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

A sensible pro active board.
If we lose the next two we maybe adrift and won’t be able to attract any players.

Northampton won 29 of their 46 league games in their 2015-16 LeagueTwo title winning season under Chris Wilder.

Since he left Northampton have won 27 of their 102 league games under 4 different managers (Page, Edinburgh, Hasselbaink & Austin).

How many of our 102 games have we won since we got back into the league?

Without checking, i think it may be less than that?

Yes, because the way Northampton Town have been run in recent years is definitely an example to follow...

Keith Curle is a good manager.  I think his downfall was his success or decent league positions.  I think they were expecting a promotion push but they never replaced Wyke and mid table was his downfall.
