https://twitter.com/robstatonRob Staton of BBC Radio Sheffield has tweeted that he has been appointed as Sports Editor of Radio Humberside and Look North. I've noticed that Matt Dean has been absent from Saturday Sport on Humberside for the past two weeks. Perhaps he is moving on.

Matt stood down from the role. The new guy wants to be hands on at games on a Saturday so maybe Matt, Mike White, Burns or JT will be surplus?

Good luck to him It's not his fault that GTFC are crap Let's hope that we get a first team out so that we can judge the new regime and hope its good enough to succeed.

Will be a shame if this means less (or even no) Matt Dean on Humberside anymore. He's the best presenter on there by miles. Great at interviews too - always draws interesting responses out of his interviewees rather than bog standard platitudes.

I wonder if the four people who red-crossed chrisblor are the same as the 4 who red-crossed somersetmariner. Who's got it in for Matt Dean? Same people who would unprofessionally hijack him whilst chairing a fans forum and bully him maybe? (wonder if I can get the same 4 )

I don't know why, but I get the impression that all's not well at Humberside between Matt, Gwilym, Mike and Burnsy. Just seems to have lost its way a bit, the old team, so bringing in someone new might just reinvigorate them.

I once sent a text in to RH about him.....Matt Dean read it out and was laughing at the content Basically it went along the lines of "is it Gwilym's time of the month.... he's a bit sensitive tonight" He actually went a bit mental at me challenging him and said he wanted me to get on air and give me what for A pity I couldn't as I was driving home after I'd sent the text in but would have given the same on air as by text He talks a lot of tosh most of the time which winds me up ( and no doubt loads of others too ) but challenge him and he goes off on one I think he's either there to wind people up, to get a reaction or a blithering idiot.... probably a bit of both, but I can't make my mind up which has the most "impact"

No idea why they have him on to cover football. He clearly has no idea about it so why bother? I’d say the RL fans ovver’t river would say the same about the football specialists covering rugby matches.

Talking about rugger buggers. I heard on that Burns programme about tat Hull/HKR player giving up because of the abuse he got on social media. And I thought rugby people* were suppose to be somehow superior to football fans.
* I assume they were rugby fans giving him gip otherwise why would he leave the club

| The wife was going away for a girly weekend. I jokingly remarked 'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football' 'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked She said 'Well you already know how to play football' |
