I'd absolutely take him but I suspect they're looking for a decent fee and he'll probably have options closer to London.

Akinde moved from alfreton to Barnet because he wanted to move down south. So location and a decent fee would certainly put us out of the equation.

I think he will sign for recently relegated MK Dons.

I wonder if Wycombe will keep Akinfenwa for their League One campaign? A front two of Akinde and Akinfenwa would cause all sorts of problems at this level.

I think Akinfenwa has already signed a new contract with Wycombe

Unfortunately his two stays with FL clubs would suggest his level is Conference at best and on both occasions his clubs are pretty keen to move him on so that’s a No from me!!

Forrester at Posh has always impressed me when I've seen him play. Won't fit in at Posh with Evans in charge because he's a footballer and won't just boot it long. Great range of passing and a real playmaker who would be excellent in L2. Would think he'd get a team higher up the pyramid but would love it if we signed him.

The pyramid? Is he heading into non-league football then?

The pyramid is (just) beneath us these days.

Yeah, I know, I'm a pedant.

Surely the pinacle of the pyramid is the Premier League, not the football league itself?

Whilst I don’t agree with it, the logic is pretty sound. It wouldn’t be a pyramid, it would be a pyramid with a stick poking out the top.
