In the space of ten minutes yesterday I walked through the town centre and overheard three seperate conversations along the lines of this thread. Seems the whole Town might have gone all Rachel Riley...

Grim Rob will be able to confirm or correct but I think there's only about a 1 in 4 chance of us being safe by sat night or a 1 in 3 chance of us being a worse position.this is relative to Barnet as I've ignored chesterfield
It's a lot worse than 1 in 4. We need to beat Swindon for starters which must be 1 in 6 at least. Then the other two need to both lose which is maybe 1 in 2 each. So (back of an enveleope) I would say there is around 1 in 24 chance of us being safe tomorrow.

I think Swindon will be our toughest game out of the three we have left, a draw would be a decent result I think, we need Morecambe to lose so they go into the Barnet game needing a win to ensure safety for them, I think we’ll draw Saturday, beat County and draw at FGR meaning we’d stay up. Bloody hope so!

I can see safety coming with a home victory in front of a 7500 crowd against Notts county . Pitch invasion the lot . Oh my days !

If Barnet and Chesterfield lose tomorrow I'd happily take a 4-0 Swindon win.

Yeah man, we gotta invade the pitch and act like we won the league because we barely scraped being non league again lol. I for one will go right home and hope this situation never happens again if we survive.

I find myself fully agreeing with Kris2 But spot on. We shoudn't be celebrating and neither should the players. Of course if we do beat County and end up staying up they should enjoy the end of that game. But from 7pm onwards most should be seriously looking for a new job. While the fans breathe a huge sigh of relief and then start to remember just what a sh1t season with have had. !!

| The wife was going away for a girly weekend. I jokingly remarked 'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football' 'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked She said 'Well you already know how to play football' |

I don’t think anyone will be happy but you can’t deny the relief that would wash over us all and celebration will occur. For me the best part will be the Slade era will be put to bed and I’m genuinely hopeful that Jolley will be able to achieve things others have failed abysmally. That’s if we stay up of course........UTM

Did you hear Jolley on RH last night saying to Matt Dean " if I'm still here next season " For a brief moment, I thought maybe he'd been brought in just to save us and then was going to move on in the summer, which would then allow Fenty to bring Slade back in to have that pre-season spending spree they were promising back in January that never got the chance to be put in to action Surely not....

I can remember the pitch invasion celebrations at Bournemouth after losing, surviving because Luton where deducted a record amount of points, we knew then Fenty was the man to take us forward and we would never risk getting in that position again. We would be laughing at teams like Bournemouth over the next few years, it feels like groundhog day, especially as both the mighty Forest Green and ourselves will be sweating on the last day
