Not sure why he'd go to Hartlepool to meet someone who lives in Manchester? Unless you mean Rhys Oates? Won't leave us quaking in our boots either way.

He can have Podge if he wants. We need better for a promotion push. They're obviously preparing for the Conference...

Scunthorpe United defender Scott Laird is set to sign for Forest Green Rovers.

The 29-year-old left-back will pen a two-year deal at the newly-promoted League Two side, according to Sky Sports News.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Rob Sedgwick from Grimsby Town fans site The Fishy
gives Vital Doncaster Rovers the lowdown on new signing Danny Andrew.

Andrew joined Doncaster on a three-year deal earlier this month after an impressive first season at Grimsby, where he won a number of awards at the end of the season.

Strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
He is good going forward. He was probably a better wing back for us than a conventional left back. He is good at crosses and can take set pieces.

Weaknesses
His positioning and I think we conceded a lot of free kicks on his side.

Best position
Either left wing back or attack-minded full back.

Are you disappointed to see him leave?
Yes, but he was on a One-year deal and he was the player of the season, so he wasn`t expected to stay.

Describe Danny Andrew in three words
Left foot crosser.

Before our end of season appointment Russell Slade, our previous managers were both full backs (Paul Hurst and Marcus Bignot) so he`s been well coached!
