Isn't Eddie Howe the new Aidy Bothroyd though?

Considering we seem to clamour for everyone with any previous association with the club, regardless of how tenuous that link is, I would say there's a high likelihood in such scenario.

It's taken Hurst six years to be a successful manager.

Rotherham need someone to save them, which is a different scenario to building a promotion winning side.

Time is something he wouldn't get at Rotherham.

Kenny Jackett's a free agent so if he's not at Shrewsbury it's a no brainer he'll get Rotherham isn't it?

If they take applications would Hurst apply? Surely he would.

I understand only 1 win in 13 games is going to put the pressure on a manager so not a shock Stubbs got fired. I suppose the club felt they had to do something but let's face it Rotherham would be most people's favourites at the start of the season  to go down. They are a minnow at that level. Not sure what they think Jackett will be able to do with limited resources.

Hurst has to see how he's  team develop this season and if he makes playoff go for the bigger job .

If Rotherham get relegated I think he should go for it if they want him ,hurst has the potential to be the next Eddie Howe , Rotherham have a bigger budget and fan base And close tto his home

Rotherham have a bigger fan base - really?
