5 Simple Steps
1 Get people to buy them on the phone
2 Put them in envelopes as if they where being collected from the office
3 Put them in a box
4 Put them on Terry's bus with someone from the Trust or ticket office
5 Collect them from the bus on the day.
I would be very surprised if the lady who has been in the office for years (Lisa?) is not going she tends to go to most big away games.
It's so simple!
Spot on mate, I was just going to suggest the same.

If they don't make any sort of effort regarding the left over tickets then shame on this Football club

Phoned the ticket office earlier to ask what their plans are if we have left over tickets and they suggested they were wandering about this and were thinking of contacting Braintree to see if something can be organised to collect tickets. Hope they are trying to follow through with this, said she would try to get something on the website if it is arranged.
However as Eastend says Braintree's attitude on this is very poor, creating a fiasco out of what should be a relatively simpe matter. Their team deserve massive credit and I hold no disrespect towards the team and management side, but the administrative side are letting the team on the pitch down. As a result I doubt we will be able to do anything different with regards the tickets.
Braintree are 100% to blame for this. I've been to a good few all ticket away games over the period of time in this league and a lot of clubs want/allow Town to print on GTFC ticket paper. As Braintree were obliged to give us 600 as per the rules the go ahead could've been given from Tuesday onwards. This would've allowed tickets to be posted out where necessary. For them to arrive at well past 5 p.m. yesterday is beyond ridiculous. Spare a thought for ticket office staff who would be expected to stay after the match for longer than normally would be the case. I hope that the club can sort something with Braintree but I'm not holding my breath.

Barra see my post above if GTFC really wanted to sell the remaining tickets we could if we cared

Exactly it's really that simple after all if Braintree had played ball and sorted this out Last Sat eve ( they were at home weren't they ) Town could had the tickets sold The Club should put a complaint about this later in the summer it's a wind up at the loyal fan's expensive so unnecessary.Dont we have enough problems without having to mess about getting tickets to stand at a ground that's not really up to scratch

Braintree could have sold a couple of hundred tickets from their end to Southern based Mariners

Of course they could. Sadly they are well and truly focused on their home support-despite them being in the position of keeping all the money.

I can not make it myself but I do know somebody who went to Braintree for some match tickets, He had a big choice of seats so unless they sell any on the gate I doubt if we will sell our 1,000 tickets, BUT I bet there will be a few in the home end.
