Very interesting indeed, i don't think it would have worked for very long, Cloughie was too controversial for the "suits" within the FA at the time. And that's why IMO he was never going to be England manager. Great pity,

You look at the flair players through the 70`s and early 80s when it was Cloughie`s Golden years it would have been interesting to see what side he would have selected as he never really seemed to have many of those types in his sides did he? A counter attack specialist is how I would describe his style but by God was it effective and could easily have yielded Tournament success.
