New format for Lincs Senior cup next season and Boston and Gainsborough both in it.

We play Scunthopre in first round were the winner will meet Lincoln in the semi-final. Gainsborough play Boston in the other semi final

Fair enough.

I wonder, would people rank the FA Trophy above the Lincolnshire Cup in order of importance? Personally, if we win on Sunday I think we should hide the FA Trophy behind one of our Lincolnshire cups.

still a crappy little cup but at least its not just three teams now with one getting a bye to the final.

i think it is a good decision if you ask me in letting boston and gainsborough play. in pre season they will be far more competative than playing barton old boys and winterton surely,   they are meaningless friendlies and no test to our players whatsoever.    a 3 team competition was crap anyway.   i also feel it should have been a fairer draw mind.    at least both these clubs have proper grounds to go to, (i used to live in boston) and york street isnt that bad at all and have been past gainsboroughs many times but not been in.  as a town fan far better places to visit than barton.

So the two highest placed clubs have to play what is in effect a preliminary round to earn the right to face Lincoln in the semis. Makes sense    South Lincs bias or what!!

Surely the holders should get the bye to the next round.

Or just invite Brigg Town or someone in as well and make them play Boston (as the two lowest ranked clubs) as a qualifier.

The reason we are playing Scunny in the first round is that they do not want to play more than one game. LOL
