Wondering how he looked in the last 7-8 minutes when he came on? He looked very good in the warm up and had a good strike on him. I know it wasn't long but, Change of topic!

Looked tidy enough and moved into positions to receive the ball but sadly I don't think our problems lie in the centre of midfield.

Only a few minutes but he looked promising. Don't pin our hopes on him solving our current difficulties though, but he might have to be thrown in due to injuries.

We seriously need to re think our wingers game plan. All 3 are so ineffective. I'd prefer a Scott Neilson type loanee for that little bit of magic. Marshall has been awful since that bury luton fiasco.

Surely you would acknowledge that we do have problems in the centre of midfield though? Even if we were fantastic in the middle before ( and some felt we were lacking something), we certainly do have an issue now Niven and Disley are injured.

Looked ok for me, wanted the ball in the same way Naylor did when he was in midfield. I'd give him a go on tuesday.

The centre of midfield yesterday was one of the few areas of the team to get any sort of credit. It was not where the game was lost.

Cheers mate just blown coffee all over me laptop through my nose when I read this bit, almost chocked to death laughing FAF
I can look good in a warm up and I'm fat and over 50

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Yeah, fair enough. See what happens Tuesday. We are missing two of our most influential, experienced players though and are now much more restricted in terms of selection.

Yeah that is true but in some ways that is even more worrying. If we'd lost the game because of the back up players in centre mid then we could just say "well we'll be okay when Disley/Niven/both come back" but as it is, we lost because our first choice attacking players were so abject and toothless.
