Poor decision we hope.  Luton will have some fixture back log too. They play Woking in the league on New Years day then don't have another league game until 19th January against Nuneaton at home. That could mean they are 4 games behind us and hopefully many points too!

UTM!

Interesting that Luton have only offered him a deal to the end of the season! Also the fact that we only offered him an 18 month deal possibly suggests that the managers didn't rate him quite as highly as us fans!

Luton have signed another striker too, they have more strikers than the mines did in the 1980's!

I am sure there are many right wingers looking for a club....why pay over the odds in wages when a player doesn't want to live near by?

Exactly! Fans are not the best judges of players. Neilson was undoubtedly a crowd pleaser but in professional sport it's not how but how many. Hopefully the managers will find someone who will do the job they want ... maybe even Colbeck?

Let's hope we can remind him of that on our last away game.

no point slagging the guy off. He came here on loan for 3 months and helped the team get where it is now. His silly sending off was a black mark, but he did a good job whilst here. He had his weaknesses, but good luck to him.

Is Neilson cup-tied for both the FA cup & FA Trophy when he moves to Luton? Neilson first game for Luton could be 1st January 2013 (10 days since he last played) if he is cup-tied Luton's next league fixture is on 19th January 2013, another 18 days without a game.
If Luton go on a run in either of both cups, he will be in and out of the team.

Yeah, he'll be cup-tied for both.

I agree and wouldn't be slagging him off however he's decided to sign for one of our direct promotion rivals so intercourse him. .

Luton have loads of attack minded players, Neilson will be a loss to us but I would worry a lot more if they poached Pond off Fleetwood.

In all honesty, if I had to choose 2 out of the 3 loanees to stay for longer, it would without doubt be Pond and Hannah. Neilson has been good but the other 2 are more influential IMO. Besides, we can find a good, if not better, replacement. We definitely need one though as I am not convinced with Marshall. He is too predictable and isn't actually that quick.

Am I the only one who had been really impressed with Marshall since he came?
