"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Anyone got any idea when we were last top of a league at Christmas?  Have we ever been?  I don't think we were in any of our promotion seasons back to 61/62...

Happy days...merry flipping christmas. Feels like we've beaten two Taff teams this weekend. Makes Boxing Day even better before its started. 1700 plus a few hundred scattered about singing 'we are top of the league' will certainly hurt gimps fans...

'the poor and the needy are selfish and greedy'...well done Mozza

1955, unless we have been top at Christmas since then in a season when we wasn't promoted. Closet in recent times was second in 2005.

Cheers mate - I went back to 61/62 on statto.com then gave up (tbh I didn't see where to find the Div3(N) tables!).  Good stuff then - first time in 57 years. Merry Christmas everyone!
