Did he? As far as i'm aware, the highest he ever played was the championship. Scott and Hurst both played in the championship for Rotherham.

Anyway, i wouldn't read too much into it, same with when Steven Watt said similar. It's hardly surprising that they weren't overly nice to players that they didn't want at the club and weren't doing the business for the club.

So he has an opinion(from the inside) that's different to yours so that makes him bitter FFS
Think he know a lot more about the dressing room at Town than you.  


In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

He wasn't far wrong then, both Woods and the Chuckle Brothers have one thing in common, they have both lead Grimsby Town to their lowest ever league finish in the club's history.

Why?

It should take more than tattoos and a silly haircuts to make a player a 'hero' to fans. Nothing he did on the field of play was memorable, that's for sure. His goals/game ratio was less than 1 every 10 games, considerably worse than the much vilified Rob Duffy, JLAA and Danny North. Heck, it's even worse than Peter Bore's goals per game ratio and he spent half of his time at the club as a full-back!

Why? Some people claim that all Elding does is gee the crowd up. Elding at least scored a decent amount of goals, Peacock did nothing here.
