The lincs cup could do with a few more localish teams there's only 3 teams so one has to be in the final shy don't they go a mini tournament

They always make me laugh bless em. They go on about us wanting to 'get one over them' yet truth be told, Tuesday's victory over to caravan dwelling half breeds from scunny means so much more. Fact is Lincoln have always been and will always be a tinpot club. In five years when they're playing from rustons and sincil bank has houses and a tescos on it we'll all just chuckle...


For me it's Goat Fcukers, Gimps then Scunts, it's an age thing and also due to the rollercoaster that is GTFC.  Lincoln at the same level get bigger gates than the Scunts and also have a richer history than those with wheels on their houses.  The Scunts have a shock coming in the next couple of seasons reminds me of us when we buried our heads.


Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

A few years back (when we were a Football League club), we played the likes of Boston United, Spalding, Gainsborough & Grantham, as did Lincoln and Scunthorpe.  I think it would be more interesting if the competition was increased to maybe the top 8 teams in Lincolnshire (as per football pyramid).


Batch, K.Moore, Waters, Wiggington, Crombie, Brolly, Ford, Drinkell, Mitchell, Cumming, Kilmore. D.Moore, Stone, Liddell. ....1979/80..... now that WAS a team.

I think the other teams (Boston, Grantham etc) play in The Lincolnshire Shield. I agree with tintower, it would be a good tournament each pre-season. Maybe allow the smaller clubs to always host the final to give them some revenue?

We played Lincoln United in the final around 99/2000. 3-3 draw, town won on pens

Totally agree it needs more teams.
