I've just noticed that we'll be playing Dartford next season.  Does anyone know if they play at the same ground that Maidstone Utd shared with them some years back when they were in the Football League?  When was that?  I remember being at that away match (just about!) - a good time was had by all, I think!!

Nah, they've got a new ground. A cracker it is too, for a small non-league stadium:

A few things I remember about that Maidstone game.

It was 2 all, Big Keef missed a penalty, we brought Mark Lever on as a sub and played him up front, there was a house fire behind one goal and loads of Maidstone fans left with about 10 mins left and watched from the top deck of the double decker buses waiting behind the other goal waiting to take them home after the game.

Dartfords ground is echo friendly. It reuses rain water to flush the toilets, grass on the roof to insulate and seave on heating bills.

They received a big grant I beleive

Does that mean that when you're in there you can hear your own voice ages after you have said something?

It certainly was eventful, from what I recall.  Can you remember when it was?

10th of February 1990.

I also remember that it absolutely threw it down all the way there until we got to the Dartford tunnel and we thought the game might be off, but when we came out the other side it was bright sunshine. Nowadays you don't even go through the Dartford tunnel going Southbound, you go over the bridge.
