I was watching a bit of the snooker on Eurosport last week, the day after the Chelsea game. Mike Hallett (who was commentating) made some comment about 'My boys did well', to which his co-commentator said 'I didn't know Grimsby were playing last night'. Hallett replied 'No, Chelsea are my team. I've been a massive Chelsea fan every since I decided to support them when I was about 14'.

What a sharp object eh? I used to want him to win because he was from Grimsby but I'm now retrospectively withdrawing my support and deciding that I always wanted Stephen Hendry and Steve Davis to thrash him (which they usually did) because I decided when I was about 10 that I was a Hendry/Davis supporter. So if you're reading this Mike, which you won't be as you'll be on theshedendwankers forum or something, consider my support retrospectively withdrawn.

It's good to see a new Grimsby Snooker Professional break into the Top 100 with Stuart Carrington rated 93 now but just click on "Rankings after China Open" on this link and look who is currently listed as World No. 121???

How did he get to 121 Les ?  he has no points,

In the good old days we had 3 grimsby players in the world top 32,  Hallett, Reynolds and Edmonds,

BACK to Hendry,

I blame my wife for Stephen retiring, she does not watch much  snooker, last night she said ,  " is that Stephen Hendry ?  he looks old "

he's a hearts fan, i'm sad he's retiring, he was the top player when i was growing up and one of the reasons i got into cue sports
