We have I'Anson and Pearson to play centre back and quite a few options for left mid. For the league games we have a pretty big squad available.

We have got I'Anson and Makofo to come but will find it hard to make up a decent bench on Saturday to be fair.  I'll welcome any new players if they can improve the team, as well as we're doing at the minute.

Is it possible for the club to deal in the transfer market without the trust giving away loads of shares?

No back-up centre half for Saturday. I would be happy with I'Anson and Pearson at the back but if anything happened to either during the game then we'd be struggling.
Really frustrating that we have so many cup-tied in the trophy and with with Artus out injured it would have been good to have seen Soares pull on the town shirt. If no signings coming in then could be a last chance for Serge to show what he can do.

If we got an injury to a central defender on Saturday, I expect we would have to move Silk across to cover. Hardly ideal, to say the least as he's not the biggest or most powerful player!

just a quick question....

If Scott decided to register and sit on the bench...would he be allowed in the dugout or would the ban stand as if he were a player?

I reckon we ought to find out!

The first eleven wouldn't be bad it'd just be a weak bench. Theres no point bringing someone in just to sit on the bench so they'd need to be good enough to get into the first team, and other than this game we don't need any additions so I don't really think we need anyone, just put a few of the youngsters on the bench.

The bench is weak but I was thinking that is there any point just bringing in loan players when we only need them for 1 game. The only position where a loan player would probably come straight into the team is left mid, but unless there really good Soares will come into the side for Braintree. So I don't see why the youngster can't be put on the bench for just 1 game.

And if we do get anyone in purely for cover then they're likely to be a youngster from another club.
