At the age of 85 the comedian Frank Carson has died. I remember meeting him around a decade ago where he was the after-dinner act at some corporate gig. In the hour or so before his appearance he downed a bottle of whisky and yet delivered a word-perfect hilarious routine.

They don't make 'em like that anymore. God bless you, Frank.

RIP Frank. I used to love watching The Comdeians back in the 70's. It's the way he told 'em.

I doubt The Fishy Political Correctness Crew will agree though.

Saw him in Lincoln during the 1980s...... some heckler started having a go and Frank retaliated and ended heckling the heckler (if you know what I mean)......he was unbelievably relentless with his put downs and urine takes .....absolutely superb on the night.


Batch, K.Moore, Waters, Wiggington, Crombie, Brolly, Ford, Drinkell, Mitchell, Cumming, Kilmore. D.Moore, Stone, Liddell. ....1979/80..... now that WAS a team.

Met him in the airport at Malaga a few years back and he entertained us all in the depature lounge, all but my missus who hated his laugh.
