I note Buckle was sacked by Bristol Rovers yesterday. I thought he was a very good appointment but it became inevitable that the Rovers Chairman would fire him. The supporters seemed to have turned on him en masse. I think it's a mistake, he only got half a season and he'd proved his worth over four years at Torquay. However, it appears he hardly made himself very popular with players or fans at Bristol Rovers.
Were I Chairman of a League Two or BSP club he'd be near the top of my list for next manager. I wonder if the Black Arabs' supporter who came on here as the season began, because he'd drawn Grimsby Town in a sweep or some such, still views Fishy Talk, and what his opinion is.
