I've been to all three home games.
Fleetwood was a competitive, and sometimes nervy opener, that could have gone either way.
Cambridge was far from a classic and certainly we could have more easily lost or drawn that game than won it.
I was concerned at that but took solace in a relatively new team playing only its fourth truly competitive game.
Today we did everything far better and  played well. We created loads of chances against a side that it was very clear to see had played together for far longer.
We lost because of two defensive mistakes (and frailties in defence are there for all to see but it's improving!) and a Darlington goal keeper who was man of the match! He will gain them a lot of points over the season. In terms of points gained/saved he reminded me of the Dave Beasant effect on Town.
I've watch town for 40 years and it is clearly the worst of times BUT today it is totally unfair to write-off the team and the managers or have the over the top talk of relegation worries.
On today's performance we will win far far more than we we will lose.
I don't normally post, because I am well aware of the vitriol posters receive but I'm sick of the hot and cold brigade.
We win and we're on a a roll, we lose and it's relegation.
Just get some perspective, look at the situation after a dozen games.
It's not the team's performance on the pitch that is in need of criticism, today they came very close to a decent result and, quite frankly, giving Darlington a spanking!
Stop throwing your dummies out! We are where we are and we cannot keep forever changing the players/managers.
Expecting the flames but if it hits home even just a little bit to those that it annoys -it's worth it.

For the first time it hit me tonight how much I missed one of Iceys posts. About this time of night he'd be finishing his bottle of red and telling everyone to calm down and that there was no need to panic after a handful of games. So it's good to see a reasoned and calm post on the matter. Some things certainly need addressing by the management and they're a way off pleasing the fans as a whole. The formations aren't working great and the managers need to address this but I do think this squad can settle and start being much more consistent.
I'm prepared to give an honest opinion after a dozen games.

that explains why I don't often post, views are valued, whether I agree with them or not, but jibes and side swipes are worthless.
There are many among us that have the herding mentality.
Original or alternative thought is a threat to their world view.

Yeah, but it's still really funny the 407th time. Next there'll be a witty double act mentioned. Ho ho ho.
