Another goal for Omar for Hartlepool last night and an assist for their winner.

Looks like he could finally have found his place.

Pleased for the lad. I can’t help but feel anyone who thought he wouldn’t be a coup for us in the Conference was slightly mad.

In other news, Matt Harold appointed caretaker manager of Leyton Orient. This makes me feel old.

Good for him really after being frozen out at Doncaster and many attempts at Championship and L1 football. Always looked capable of being a top striker at L2 level with us so this could be the break he needed to get his career back on track after a few years of struggle.

Kinda feels like how most players seem better after they are gone. I can imagine A return of 2 in 20 league games for a striker wouldn't have many fans excited to sign them if they did that for anyone else. That's worse than LJL who most people want gone these days.

He reminded me of Tom Bolarimwa, a nice experiment but not good enough for league football. You never knew what would happen when he got the ball and you'd hope for the 1 in 50 chances that would result in a goal or assist. Both had good raw attributes that were worth seeing if we could nurture them into a good player but they both lacked a good enough understanding of the game to play at a high level.

I think with proper coaching he could have been a real asset to us. In classic Holloway style, he made it look like he was doing Ogbu a favour because 'he was homesick' when in fact he rang Fenty after the Mansfield away game and said 'With a name like Moses, you'd think he could play football' and demanded Fenty get him paid up.

I do like the fact he's the football equivalent of a T20 freelancing cricketer, he's played for 5 clubs in 5 different countries in the space of 3 years.
