Clayton McDonald continues his steady descent down the football pyramid. Has just joined Droylesden, which is now his 3rd club of the season (previously at Redditch and Altrincham)

Unlike a lot of journeymen who have been at Town over the last 10 years or so Clayton will always be remembered for that goal at Scunny.

It's certainly what I remember him for!

He was a decent player but just enjoyed himself a little too much at Christmas for Hursty's liking.

I've wasted my life in black and white, a pathetic act for a worthless cause

My over riding memory is the accuracy of his long distance passing.at times you could see why he'd been retained for so long at man city. And of course the off the field stuff helped to show why he wasn't at that level any more

After a slow start I actually didn't mind Clayton McDonald, as mentioned above his long passing accuracy was excellent, and of course Scunthorpe United away, he would probably still be playing at a decent level if he never had off the field troubles
