Hi all,

just to say that the match tonight will have updates on our official website - www.sheffieldfc.com - click on the 'Sheffieldfc.com Updates' article in the Club News section of the front page.

This is something we have just started doing so bear with us if there are any glitches!

It will obviously lean heavily towards information from a Sheffield supporter's point of view but we will be putting any goals, half-time and final scores up as they happen along with any other major incidents.

Cheers and all the best for the game tonight and the season ahead.

Look forward to seeing you and any other travelling supporters at the ground - hope you enjoy the game, although not too much perhaps!

I'll be the one staring, and cursing, at my phone trying to get onto the internet every time a goal goes in.

I can't find a similar service on the GTFC OS.

Is this our only option for updates?

Thanks for the links.

Andy, congrats on the sale of the old rules, for £900k.  What's the chairman doing with that extra cash?

We did have but Mr Furneaux would not raise that sort of money.

Not 100% sure although he was in the pub last night so perhaps he's just going to use it as the chairman's beer allowance for the next 150 years?

Still early in the season and clearly quite a big gap between the levels of the sides but thought you looked pretty good last night; very solid.  We've been playing well but you are the first team (bearing in mind we've played Sheff U, Huddersfield and Worksop from higher levels) to really stop us playing and having space.

We hung on well but I reckon, with a couple of weeks sharpness for your front players, you could have got a few more and we'd have had no complaints.  Definitely the best side we've seen so far - best of luck for the rest of the season.

If we're getting in to back-slapping each other I'd just like to say I really enjoyed last night...

The set up, the facilities and the location were all spot on imho

Was a shame the weather was so bad....about the only thing that spoiled an otherwise very enjoyable evening

As much as I think we deserved our win, I also thought that "The Club" put up a good show...your keeper was well annoyed when we got the second goal....if your boys show that level of desire in the coming season you won't do too badly yourselves

Cheers - you too. Will hopefully get along to a few of your games again. End of season game against Buxton a few years back, when Nicky Law managed them, was the best I've seen... great stuff.

Richard Tims has been in the Coach & Horses every time I've been to a match there. Nice to see. Some of us were wondering if John Fenty might follow suit, but hey. Isn't the £900k going towards the new ground at Olive Grove, or is that not happening any more?

Everyone's skirted round the real issue from last night: is Thornbridge's Chiron actually a better pint than Jaipur?
