Apologies for not getting back to you on this one ....

Yeah we drew at Fulham in front of 20k, they went up, we didn't and the side included a young Diddy Gilbert (whatever happened to him?)

The following year we were storming the old Div 3 up until Xmas, beating teams like Leicester and drawing with West Ham in the Cup. Then a 1-2 Boxing Day home defeat to Huddersfield in front of 12k (Cockerill scored) happened and it was downhill all the way with us eventually finishing 6th. The Board were blamed as we only had a squad of 14 players resulting in pitch demos and death threats to the then Chairman Blades who refused to invest. Players like Peake, Shipley, Turner & Cockerill himself moved on and our last chance to play in the 2nd tier disappeared seemingly forever?

Oh for such disappointment again, eh?
