The bikes will be going in a transit van, which im hoping lincoln fire brigade will allow us to park in there training yard at sincil bank.
the mini bus is for taking people back.
Obviously for us josh we got to then ride home from sincil bank, easy for me though not so much you still have to ride up hill

Do you have a driver for the mini bus?

If not I'll do it. There is now way I could think about cycling more than a few hundred yards

Right chaps, I said yesterday I would drive the routes and make some notes on them I will set off in an hour or so I think I have beat the weather (I am a bit of a girl driving in the rain nevermind biking in it!)
I am going to go there via the route, a16, a631, a157 and a158 into lincoln, which is the route head to louth, make a right at ludborough and through wragby
I will come back the way A46 to middle raisen, then to market raisen, onto the B1203 which goes through tealby binbrook then heads back to waltham.
I think they was the routes suggested, I got them printed off on autoroute anyway, does everyone agree there the best two?

Thanks for the offer of helping out Marinerian, I going to set off soon as I got some plans later and would like to set off now and your not on the board at the minute, thanks again for the offer.

I will report back about 5ish

thats cool

the route with the least milage is going to be critical - i'm going to do similar with my GPS to check the variance in altitude and gradients as it would be better to cycle a few extra miles on the flat than have to deal with hills. i have a program called GPStuner that is for this kind of stuff!

According to autoroute the 2 are not so far apart in milage, it does not mention anything about altitudes and gradients like your gadget does, thats why I am going to drive it, have a look for myself. We need to get confirmation on the route, to inform the police for the escort if thats whats happening and the radios on the traffic news front etc
