If our safety is confirmed next Saturday I just hope the celebrations are muted . It’s been an awful season and it needs to be forgotten fast imo

Yes I think you are right.

Polite applause and handshakes all round would be quite sufficient.

I am however looking forward to next season already, as I think the owners will learn a lot from this season of struggle and will be keen to make amends.

Most of us at Crewe celebrated like it was a promotion.  The relief was tangible, the combined effort of players and fans, the front foot onslaught and clean sheet all merited the release of pent up devotion to our club.

Little old me dancing with a six foot total stranger was less than stoic but I'll  be a boring boomer again at BP.

The players owe us a big home win.

Let’s celebrate like we’ve won the league, in fact I propose we grab the chairman and hoist him on our shoulders declaring him the messiah!!!

I think we should all take along a spade and a couple of buckets and tunnel our way out of BP at half time while the hired band plays the great escape tune. 😅

The players should celebrate the fans finishing up in a play-off spot (in the away averages) despite them being mostly sh!te all season…

Something like this would do - a million people thronging the river bank whilst Town players celebrate on an old Trawler; what a spectacle!

Seeing it's John Tondeur's final home commentary from  BP I
hope that the fans/club can come up with something special for
him say, around the 40th minute.

He has been something very special for so long !

4-0 would be good so it's down to the players

In his interview on Cod Almighty he says that the BBC have already asked him to appear giving his opinion etc and he hopes that will get him a press pass rather than having to pay to get in

They won't have learnt if they don't sack DA at the end of this season.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

One of the few positives is we will beat last seasons average attendance now with some interest still in this game .

It's been a crap season without a shadow of a doubt.  But will I celebrate if we get over the line  -  you bet I bloody will. Stuff not clapping them off, I'm pretty sure the majority of the crowd think exactly the same.

It's a game that could guarantee our place in the EFL so in some ways its as important as a play off final.

A point or three secures survival and so would be cause for celebration. It would also mean that we earned our place on merit rather than by default if Sutton drop points.

If we lose and stay up anyway, it will be slightly odd, a bit like Mike Bassett Football manager when they lost their last game 4-1 but someone else (Mansfield I think?) lost 6-1 so they stayed up and celebrated like crazy!
