I like the pause before he answers like he's an old laptop freezing up when you try to load something.

If he's stood in the wind no wonder he's freezing Kris.

Never mind Deeney post match interview.  Pre-match he praised the professionalism of his new player Godden.  Who was then sent off in his first game.  3 mins later FGR conceded and they lost.

We should have a whip-round to keep Deeney in post.  He could then extend their 6 match run without a win.

I think Forest Green are doomed, particularly if they keep Troy Deeney in charge. Here's a small clip of his 12 minute post match interview from the weekend. It is astonishing. He is remarkably thick.

I'm not so worried about us finishing bottom if he remains in charge much longer.

It seems Dale Vince has gone a bit mad. I get that he’s not everyone’s cup of tea for fairly obvious reasons, but he’s generally done a pretty good job of turning Forest Green into a solid football league outfit.

18 months ago they were promoted to League One under the excellent Rob Edwards, but since then he’s appointed Duncan Ferguson, a woman, seemingly for PR reasons, a Greek mythological creature, and now Troy Deeney.

That’s not the decision making of a well man. Perhaps he’s been smoking a little too much of his organic grass.

To be fair to FGR, they were a pretty well-established 5th tier side before Vince started bunging money into them. Definitely a vanity-project since he took them over. Vanity projects tend to come to an end at some point, so let's hope this one ends this season...

Stuck £20 on FGR going down within 10 minutes of Deeney being appointed.

I think the potential saving grace for FGR is that Vince generally isn't frightened of sacking someone relatively early into their tenure.

Then again, Poojah's list of recent appointments isn't a great advert for his recruitment of late though.

I just think they'll stump up the cash for a couple of players who will get them over the line to survive.  Can fairly say the same for 2 other sides down there (Salford and Colchester), which means presuming Sutton can't get out of it someone else has to get sucked in.  Donny for me, MK Dons shock results on NYD aside they're in shocking form.

They’ll need to get cracking. We know how hard it can be to climb to safety once you’ve created a bit of a gap to close, and they’re already 7 points from safety (and 10 points behind us) with a materially inferior goal difference. They’ve got a game or two in hand, the first of which is away at Mansfield tonight, but it’s hard to see them getting anything other than a good old fashioned vegan shoeing there.

They’re currently averaging 0.69 points per game. For context, our two relegation seasons from the bottom tier saw us register averages of 0.96 and 0.93 respectively, so that gives you some idea as to how bad they really are. Plus they now have Deeney at the wheel, who currently has a PPG of 0.17 from his 6 games in charge so far and could drop as low as 0.14 tonight.

In fact, they haven’t won since they beat Crawley in October; the same day Hurst was sacked for context. It’s dark before the dawn at the New Lawn.

Oh definitely, there's nothing at all pointing towards them having a hope in hell.  Awful form, joke of a manager and you can only presume absolute rock bottom morale in the dressing room when said manager is calling out players in public.

It's all based on the potential of a new manager bounce (not that it's happened previously for them, nor have they even sacked Deeney yet!) and that ability to bring in a couple of decent signings in the next fortnight.  If we get to the end of the window and they've still got Deeney in charge and/or haven't made a couple of really good signings, definitely curtains.

Another consideration is if, big if, Swindon end up with a points deduction following their EFL charge last month.  Last I heard it was going to an independent panel and I'll be totally honest and say I've nothing else, nor do I know if has the potential to reach a points deduction.  If it does though, that really could make it interesting...
