Anyone solely blaming Mullarkey today has never played footy .Especially at right or left back .Sometimes wide players are so could it's difficult to stop them getting the cross in .When that happens you either have to double up and try to stop the cross or deal with it when it comes in .Today we did neither .But it was collective failure rather than one .Sometimes a player is just better than you

It’s really difficult to stop them getting crosses in if you never actually attempt to close them down. Or if you stupidly run forward for no reason leaving a massive gap to exploit

Problem with Mullarkey though is that it happens every week. It’s not the odd game where he lets the side down, it’s actually the norm.

I do think there was a lot of misfortune for the first goal (though Mullarkey should have been more circumspect with his run), but no excuse for the second where he let the winger run in behind him so he had absolutely no chance of stopping the cross when he received the ball. Rank bad defending, that one.

I know we're not the biggest team, but they were smaller
Just to say they weren't smaller, they had at least 6 players bigger than ours. I sit in the main stand and always notice when the two teams line up pre-kick-off that nearly every team has bigger players - not just taller but in overall physique as well.

These comments you've made a few times about him rubbing his head during interviews is really coming across quite weird.
So what if he rubs his head while he's being filmed doing an interview? Seems a bit of an unnecessary personal jibe.
Also today, never rubbed his head once, only once rubbed his nose, but as the above poster said, so what!

Norseman would agree with you however every winger is better than our full backs we never stop the crosses coming in.
Mullarkey is a liability, ok if a one off but it happens week in week out.

We all love to see a good fast winger. Unless he playes for the other side.. Then we have crap full backs

Fine lines in football..
Finish that chance to go 3 up instead of hitting the bar and I think that was the game. Huge moment. At the time Town warranted that 3-0 lead, had given Notts C a sniff, we’re winning the battles all over the pitch and doubt anyone would’ve argued Town were playing very, very well.
Of course then the game changes with conceding, and we know the fragility in our lads at the minute - plus the quality offensively of Notts C, and the effort/energy we were putting in is hard to sustain. Going in level at h/t absolutely gutting for us, the opposite for them. Tbh I feared we’d get put away second half..but credit to our lads for digging in, not rolling over and getting back in front. Very strange game, too and fro’s, some very good players on show, good offensive play mixed with comical/diabolical defending. Both sides. When we went 5-4 down I think most would’ve thought that was that. And a defeat would’ve been hard to take, don’t think we deserved to lose - and a brilliant 1st touch from Wood got us a point. Both sides would’ve felt both sides of the story..could’ve/would’ve/should’ve won….would’ve/could’ve lost.
If you were there as a neutral it would’ve been a fantastic game to have watched..if you were a supporter of either side it highlighted both strengths and weaknesses already know.
Personally I think we should view it as a step forward, some promise, and given In sure a tremendously difficult week for everyone in and around the club - it was a great effort collectively, and a fitting tribute.
Speaking of..what a fantastic tribute ..by both sets of fans it should be said..👏

I thought I had tuned in to Talksport there.....you sound like Ray Houghton or Dean Saunders!
