I wish they spoke to Jason after today's game not before it.
It would have been very interesting hearing his thoughts and how many players we might need in the transfer window.

Worst home league defeat since 1946 ….. another achievement you can pin to your chest ehhh Jason . It feels worse been patronised by you than it did Fenty . Fenty doing it was ironic, you doing it is insulting to people on here who’ve stood by this Shi.t show for far too long
An apology is due but please keep it simple otherwise it will go over our heads straight into the North Sea

Probably gave Artell the job because he has a degree. They can discuss philosophy while the team sink to the bottom. Worst home defeat in my lifetime and he's bothered about some fans on a forum.

I think a new chairman/club spokesman is overdue, which is the plan listening to that.
I always think he comes across as a bit of an arrogant know all, whilst trying to hide it.
I respect that he has an overall plan for the club but the clubs he talks about and aspires to got the essentials in place on the field with good managers and players, before worrying too much about identity and B Corp and had enough money to make things happen.
You can never run before you can walk. He will argue he is trying to put the conditions/identity in place for success to follow, but it looks a little incongruous when you are perpetually league 2 stragglers.

I think that's a bit harsh, he only responded to the questions he got asked. Do we really want the chairman flipping about on the Fishy? The last one was flipping horrendous and spent half his time on here. Us getting better will not be a perfect upward curve.
What did he actually tell us? He wants to club to continue to strengthen its links with the community. He wants the club to keep improving, he's referenced some clubs we'd like to emulate. He's talked about the process for appointing a professional CEO. He's said there'll be signings in January. He's said the Fishy is full of girl privates, he's not wrong 😂
Seems a fair interview.

I don't like how Stockwood and a fair few town fans on twitter turn their nose up at this place and tar all posters on here as part of the same set of reactionary clowns and excrement-stirrers. Yes, there is a certain degree of complete bullshit flung on to this message board, but putting that aside this is one of the few places on the internet where you can find in-depth relatively level headed detailed discussions about the club. I certainly find the threads on here in general more interesting than events like the fans forum (which Stockwood cites as a valid avenue for feedback), the most recent edition of which was filled with inane questions from pub bores.

JS talks a good game but fancy scotch eggs and guardian articles count for nothing when it comes to 5800 people renewing season tickets. The honeymoon is well and truly over for 1878 and like many others I think Stockwoods got an attitude problem. The previous manager spewed the budget on shite its time for the board to dig deep and bail Artell out with 5/6 new signings. Otherwise the fingers will be pointing to no ambition and no point its a shitshow and 1-6 at home to a mid table side is worse than anything Fenty oversaw Put up or shut up Mr Stockwood you hired him so back him or sack him.Disgruntled Season Ticket Holder

It's a great place to discuss the games and all the excrement going on at the club. Do you think it's a healthy place for a chairman to spend a lot of their time? Same as social media.

How anyone can stand that praise and grumble site I don't know, if it's more than two sentences that would be considered 'in depth' on there. I think on the fishy yes there are one or two wind up merchants with an axe to grind about the new owners who are obvious ex employees, ignore those, but there is also a lot of sensible discussion and valid points made. I don't agree with all of it but that's because there are different and opposing views as you would expect from a good forum. Some of it can be well put across, some not so, but plenty of it worth reading.

Like all patronising champagne socialists it won't be his fault, more like the fault of all the KKK members and waffen SS right wing gammons that haunt this forum. I said from day one these two were all talk and so far I've been shown to be correct. A perspex screen and tony Blair esque board room buzzwords won't get us three points on a Saturday. So shove your data, fancy sausage rolls, £5 scotch eggs, pointy brown shoes, right up your a.se.

The Fishy is exactly the same as Facebook and Twitter, you get a few decent people who will listen to arguments and debate, and then you get the majority who just scream and shout and are overly reactionary.
JS's point is dead on, if you want meaningful discussion you don't do it on social media or a forum.
There's nothing like taking an interview out of context and using it wrongly as a stick to beat good people with.
This thread proves his point!

There are a lot of people on this site that have been watching Town for decades, and seen many teams, managers and board members come and go.
There are also a lot of knowledgeable people on here, many of whom have stuck with the team through thick and mostly thin. I would say there are many season ticket holders frequent this place too, and they would do well to remember that.
It never gets mentioned all the positive stuff the site is responsible for either, and they usually focus on the negative comments when things are going badly.
Look at the money that's raised on here for various causes for a start.

I think JS is starting to feel the heat building up and he is not used to it. Starting with things like nice scotch eggs , beers with fancy names and prices etc etc,, The football fan just wants a team that puts a shift in That they are proud of and not ashamed to talk about or be a part of . Surley you knew that your pockets would be open above and beyond buying the club if not you are going to find out the hard way . We dont expect to be a championship club in 5 years but we dont expect or will stand for a team that rolls over and gives up

Where do you have a meaningful conversation about football? I don’t think I’ve ever had one that isn’t around 80% banter:15% nonsense:5% fact either in person or any form of media. My mother-in-law calls football the most important non-important thing in the world and it’s one of the few things she’s right about. It’s relatively meaningless nonsense that we enjoy to make our time on earth less dull. If people want to think they’re intellectually superior to us because they pretend they don’t read this forum then it doesn’t reflect well on them, IMO.

He would be a very difficult man to have a face to face with. He has a strong memory and is well read combining this with a natural personality of belief in his direction would likely see him as a listener with a well hidden air of arrogance. I am useless face to face but can express my thoughts with time, hence my postings on this forum. For him to disregard the forum is to disregard the feelings of those that take the time to speak on our beloved club. Granted a lot of what is said is Bourne out of frustration and can be irrational, but the underlying notion that is the base of our comments comes from a fans perspective that can be listened to or read.
Is it now irrational for me to suggest that JS engages face to face so he can immediately feel he has won the argument, on fishy you would never get away with that.
Churchill also said. “ you must put your head in the lions mouth if the performance is to be a success”

Perfect, proving why Stockwood doesn't and shouldn't waste his time on social media and forums as it's all meaningless. This "intellectually superior" is rubbish, he hasn't said it or implied it.

You can't have a meaningful discussion in a Fans Forum either. It's a Question and Answer session (more Answer than Question) not really a discussion. People turn up their noses against social media because they might find extreme points of view or people who are not worth arguing with because they are caught up in their own bubble, but I think on every platform there is more good than bad. The Club puts a huge amount of effort into YouTube and Twitter, they rarely acknowledge replies to any of their content. As Stalin said: "The Party is always right".

Perfect, proving why Stockwood doesn't and shouldn't waste his time on social media and forums as it's all meaningless.
This "intellectually superior" is rubbish, he hasn't said it or implied it.

Where do you have a meaningful conversation about football? Even football programmes like MOTD are broken down to roughly the ratios I listed above. The only programme on the telly that was anything close to meaningful was Sunday Supplement and they binned it off because it was so dull. I didn’t mean JS specifically either but if the cap fits…

Nothing at all wrong with this forum it's a good cross section of the fanbase. We have some posters here I seldom agree with BUT they can stand there corner and give a good balanced reply. When it comes to other things like Ginny points out look at the money raised over a long period of time. Finally amazing how all and sundry stag the fishy off yet they all know what gers said why is that ?

Indeed. I'm not sure why Matt Dean singled the Fishy out - every forum in the country has a mixed range of views just like this one, and you hear more extreme views sat in the stands.

Matt Dean was unlikely to ask if he goes on Iron Bru! He said he has interacted with people on here and criticised the level of intellect he had in those interactions, so at some point JS has been a member. Unfortunately, his comments came before our biggest home defeat since the 40's so it is going to get analysed, but I can see why some of the admins and regulars of this forum are annoyed by his comment. I found the call to discuss with Fishy members face to face a bit passively aggressive.

Matt just asked do you use Social Media? Then followed it up with What About the Fishy? I think Jason said something like he doesn't go on here because he wouldn't think about the world differently based on "the interaction". He didn't entirely rule out being a lurker though, he just talked about interactions. JF used to say at first the club found the Fishy useful because he could see what people were thinking. Until he discovered that most people didn't think much of him and started to involve himself which didn't end well.

I'm sick of your gibberish posts. I can't work out if you're a troll who revels in the attention or genuinely thick. The questions asked are intrusive and the sort of things we want to know. Do you expect Matt Dean to ask "tell me David why were the lads so crap today"? Or to JS "Paul really blew the cup money didn't he" That would end all interaction with Radio Humberside and then we'd never find out anything.

Agree, listening to what he had to say just confirms there is a well thought out plan and we’re sticking to it. Sometimes on days like today it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that JS & AP are good people doing what they do for the right reasons. John Fenty - Ian Holloway - Con man bloke, it could all have been very different. Just look down the M180

If this plan doesn’t shape up we’ll be playing down the 180 next season. Imagine that ? They’ve been a shite show for 4 years and on the brink of destruction just a couple on months ago and yet it possible we’ll be in the same league next season . I find that incredible

It’s possible but not probable, have you actually “listened” to any of JS’s interviews? Or do you just like picking out the doom in everything?

What about some new investors and what is the plan going forward please?

I’m guessing there’s no new investors . Nothing derogatory towards 1878 but who’s going to pump money in to a club at the lower end of L2 ? There’s no investment, it’s burning ££ basically.

| In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD |

Maybe give KLF a ring, they love burning money and the half time music would be upbeat.

Bizarre how some on here are attempting to sneer about this guy from a poor background who got himself a good education and worked his way up to achieve success in business.
I can't imagine why he's not interested in interacting with these faceless folk on here?
Back in the days of Grim Outlook, the Fishy was known as the Fishy FFS, often for a good reason.
I think it has improved a great deal since then and that there is some really good discussion on here at times. One or two detestable and bigoted arses on here who it is relatively easy to ignore, but generally not too bad.
There are a few terrible trolls, however, and it is unsurprising to see most of the usual suspects trying to stir the pot in this thread. I never expect anything different, really, but luckily it is easy to disregard anything these tedious inadequates have to say.
(Just to note, although I'm obviously on the same side of the political spectrum as Stockwood, I do find his articles in the Guardian so uninteresting that I rarely bother to even scan through them)

Since they took over I have always supported JS & AP. and the club certainly needed them. That said I am totally surprised that JS does not want to interact on The Fishy.
What better opportunity than The Fishy with 6,434 members and many non-members who read the comments? How many of those 6,434 have season tickets?, more than JS thinks I believe. How many walk through the turn styles and pay the full price to see a game?
He says he wants to interact with fans and then does not want to come on one of the club's main fan sites. What better place is there for him to interact than the bread and butter fans who live, breathe and eat Grimsby Town?
I'm totally disgusted by him.

I don’t understand how so many on this thread want our chairman wanting his time interacting with a message board!
What would he learn? That our fans disagree about almost everything, some have an axe to grind because he has a different politics to them, some agree with what he’s doing & ultimately it’s like all social media and incredibly reactionary.
I’d much rather he spent his time running the club & think he communicates often enough already for a Chairman.
Oh and for those whinging about better food at the ground, we asked for it in the survey and got it. I love a good scotch egg 👍

And reading posts like this is possibly why JS might be a bit critical of this site.

Sorry but no, nothing wrong with the fishy as a forum, but that's different to saying you want JS on it, that's a recipe for disaster with people with an axe to grind trying to goad him and wear him down etc. I think him reading it now and again is probably a good thing tho, and he probably does.

The eyes don't lie and there is no sugar coating the last two home games.DA needs to get cap in hand and knock on Stockwood's door with a list of players he wants both in and out.Have we got any money for this and if we haven't can we sell anybody to finance what he wants? What about some new investors and what is the plan going forward please?
So what do you know about the recruiting plans for this window, please tell us if you are 'in the know'. Also, there are no investors interested atm, we was told that some time ago, you can't MAKE people invest, especially in a club very close to the bottom of League Two.

Bring back Fenty and the excrement sausage rolls, at least he had a spade in the ground. No chance of a new stadium now, posh scotch eggs is all we have.
Now this is the number one stupidest post I have ever seen on this forum.

David 'Five Names' went down that route at Scunny, didn't work out well. I don't blame JS for not taking part in Fishy discussions, especially after reading some of the garbage anti JS posters have posted.

It's becoming more and more apparent Stockwood want's out , I'm not sure why The Fishy has become a topic of debate it seems a weird angle for conversation in interviews when there are more pressing issues to discuss .
My main concern is the 'look what I have done for you ' (how much money I have put in )angle is now being thrown in , in every interview , forum or podcast . I get it's probably frustrating having to prop up a mess that wasn't entirely of your own making but it wasn't the fans fault either was it.

So JS says he wants to interact with fans. There is the twice-yearly fans forum where pre-stated questions can be sent, and an odd few from the people who attend. I don't know of the number, less than 10 I'd say, for JS/AP to answer with others taken by the playing staff and Debbie. So does he want us to interact with him via the Mariners Trust, RH or by other means? It's alright for him to say he wants to interact but then wants to ignore the main fan's website. We also should not ignore the fact that The Fishy sponsored 1 shirt this year and 2 last year. Yes, the posts are a bit rough and tumble sometimes, but then you get little gems from Poojah, Ginny Wings and others, which 1878 should take notice of. He quite likes having letters in the Guardian, so do we have to get a copy of the Guardian every day to see if he has had any letters published? Surely if he wants to interact with real fans then some sort of letter/comments would be better on The Fishy. Will I still support him and AP? Yes of course I will but someone with a degree in philosophy should think more before he speaks. UTM

Maybe give KLF a ring, they love burning money and the half time music would be upbeat.
Excellent reference. It's not just the Scotch Eggs and perspex screens in the Upper that have improved since 1878 took over. The music pre-game, at half-time and post-game is the best I can remember in a long time.

I dont quite get this. Isn’t this just a mixture of received opinion, inference and anger? Where is JS irrefutably doing any of this or giving the impression he ‘wants out’? Isn’t this just little more than a combination of people being angry and wanting a scapegoat, and then speculating/having their chain pulled?

Hmm.
I listened to that interview and whilst I'm a fan of Stockwood it left me feeling a little bit cold to be honest.
Naïve is probably the best term I could give to describe how it came across. I don't think it's arrogant, but definitely got the potential to rub people up the wrong way, as it clearly has. To suggest that the fans forum, which is largely pointless, gives more value and insight than this forum is at best a bit blinkered.
What I would say is that I'm not sure what more Stockwood can say. I've said it before but why are Humberside interviewing him every five minutes? All the updates are exactly the same and it feels like the media outlets are just desperate to get something, anything out of him. He's well spoken and he's not shy of speaking to the media, perhaps you could go as far as saying he enjoys that side of it (that's not a criticism either). He'll always give the press something and he's clearly happy to do so. But less is more. It's ok giving little soundbites when times are good and/or there's something to up date on. But a needless recap of the year to fill 20 minutes of Humberside's time and answering dogshit questions like 'Do you read the Fishy?' is just going to fuel the fires when people are already drunk off and there's no fresh updates.
That said, I really don't like how there seems to be a growing trend to dig him out. It's certainly becoming more and more frequent and not just from the usual Fenty-bummers.

Also great to see that his degree in philosophy is now the latest thing to hound him with.
Scotch Eggs, check. Expensive beer, check. Brown pointy shoes, check. Guardian writing/reading, check.
Social Science degree, check.
Next month's hitlist will include Billy Bragg poetry, Tofu on Gluten Free Sourdough and the fact he once watched a documentary on Marx & Engels on BBC Four, the flipping commie!

On your point on investors we were not told that and we don’t know that no one is prepared to invest. What we have been told over the last 2 years is that JS and AP didn’t see the need for new investors and when the time is right the new investors would need to share their values. Most changes of investtors in a football club come in times of adversity when the existing incumbents want out as happened with Fenty until then external interest goes under the radar or is blocked with phrases like tyre kickers or dont share our values. I doubt this time will be any different.

I suggest you do some more research, as you are wrong. JS DID say that there were no investors ready to invest in the club atm, not 100% sure but I think it might have been on the fans forum, but it is definitely out there somewhere. And here is the proof of my research, start at around 36 minutes. https://www.google.co.uk/searc.....vid:JobR1Wb2Ma8,st:0

The thing is….the small handful of people who are, as you say dhm, ‘digging him out’ are the usual suspects who post badly written, spiteful cobblers on here on a reasonably regular basis - usually after a substantial disappointment. We all know who they are. 5 or 6 of them. They voted Brexit. They watch GB News. They service some concept of ‘lefty’ as the actual cause of the things they’re socially angry about, despite not realising that nobody remotely left leaning has had any sort of executive power for a decade and a half, and who can’t evolve their opinions and post a cogent argument.
These are the reasons JS has concluded that being on the fishy isn’t a good idea. And he’s right. I wouldn’t touch it if it were me. Not a platform where someone in his position could have a meaningful and positive, informed discussion about key aspects of GTFC, largely for the reasons ((numb nuts posters) given above, but also because of the format - written posts on a thread by an unseen, anonymous contributor, limited in scope for detail and problematic in terms of discerning tone, subtext, context etc. This is really what he was saying. An Internet forum is not the kind of vehicle he favours for helpful, detailed discussion when time is short and pressure is high. Of course, some folk on here will miss this point (deliberately or not) and paint it their own way - calling him names, assuming his meanings, misrepresenting his intent or integrity; which kind of underlines his point doesn’t it.

Maybe , he does want out in terms of being chairman though doesn't he as he keeps repeating that in every interview lately 'when it's the right time' - maybe he stays on the board with Pettit as chairman ? I'm not really sure there is that much anger is there ? Just people irked that Dean namedropped The Fishy and Stockwood gave his opinion It just seems a needless distraction from the mess we are in on the pitch .

He continues to say 3 years is long enough to be chairman , but the disruption of recruiting a new CEO maybe means changing both roles is too much at once in his opinion.

JS is the figurehead and when things are poor on the pitch he will get grief it's always been this way Ramsden,Furneax,Carr,Fenty before him all copped flak. Some of its unjustified and it should never get personal but Town being terrible on the pitch has ruined Xmas and New Year and more worrying we once again are embroiled in a relegation dogfight. 1878 have a plan off the field but it's all in the background probably has it should be. They have sacked a marmite Manager and appointed there no 1 target DA . We will shortly see how they intend to help him to help the team.Like many I'm alarmed and genuinely shocked how bad this squad actually are I truly believed we would be challenging at the top end. Since August only Danny Rose has showed any kind of consistency yet at one point or another the rest have all had good games .The worst home defeat in 80 years by a midtable side is the kind of result that gets Manager's sacked. I am not advocating that as these are not his players BUT our Manager needs to quickly realise these players cannot play his style.

I have no reason to dislike stockwood infact rather the opposite and I'm very grateful he took the club on BUT on the same hand no one forced him to take this club on .
No one held him at gunpoint when signing the takeover. He chose to take this club on with another investor.
I am grateful but I also wish he would stop coming across like he's Lord and saviour and using these big words in interviews about his time in investing in companies and like he's not a town fan now , he comes across like he is above the average town fan now.
Jason we are all grateful but we are not going to be on our knees forever, we argue on here but we all love town on here . Owners come and go but you said your one of us so please remember that.

It Is quite common for companies in industry to change the head of the company every 4 to 5 years. That's What Jason is alluding to and he is trying to treat this as a viable company. Yes he wants investment so he is not spending all his money but being a lowly div 2 side in a run down part of the country then investment is hard to find. Yes he does like talk and has some solid plans, but it all takes time and money. i do not think he will walk away and he has stated as much but he would like to get the ground and its infostructure solid and safe first as well as trying to get the identity on and off the field hence the B corp. It was a poor result yesterday but I think we are all aware of the problem Artell has to turn the team around and he also alluded to this in his post match interview. It all takes time as they keep saying its a journey and there will be bumps along the way ie yesterday, Will we stay up? personally i think so, but I am like the rest of us just a supporter on the outside without knowing what's going on inside the club on a day to day basis.

It’s amazing what a dreadful defeat can do to the minds of people who are normally reasonably sensible posters on the Fishy. To be honest I think Matt Dean gets a minimum of 50% of his questions for Managers and Owners from stuff he’s read on a Fishy thread something he will repeat several times during the transfer window as he regurgitates “fishy rumours”. All JS is doing is reiterating exactly what he said when taking over the club, he would be Chairman for three years and then review, Chaos sums his position up perfectly above. As for not engaging with the fishy, again as Chaos and others have said, why the hell would he? All he would achieve is another avenue for abuse when things go awry. Not engaging does not mean he doesn’t read it as I am sure Andrew and Debbie do as if you ignore the more venomous trolls you can, on occasions, get reasonable feedback on all things Town. Christ we now have to wait nearly two weeks for the next match so hopefully a few new faces will arrive to help calm a few contributors down a little.

Exactly right. The fans backed 1878 with record season ticket sales then backed it up the following year. The support has been nothing short of astounding given the fayre on offer.910 to Salford on a Friday night after the 2 performances prior says it all The fans are the best asset this Clubs got they built the Pontoon bought Joe Waters then Ivano then Bogle the fans here always deliver . We just want a team to be proud of again thus is league 2 it shouldn't be so difficult. UTM

Fair post . I'm feeling it at the moment , I guess we all are . I thought this season would be a big one in a good way ,thought I knew it . I know the trolls have a field day with this sort of thing ,bits and pieces maybe some even revel in it . I expected us top 10 minimum with a packed enthusiastic BP most weeks ,big wins and good football . It's been worse than last season no doubt and a major underwhelming experience. I'm lost for words with what I'm seeing -Walsall was a new low. We are the laughing stock again and seemingly going into a forest fire of games against all the big one's , in big big trouble I fear for us once more I really do . It's time for everyone to unite for 6 months at least because another relegation would probably leave us beyond recovery as a football league club .

I’m not bothered whether he engages or not. What bothers me is the ‘intellectual superiority’ that comes over in interviews. It was evident in the Fans Forum too. There’s a lot of bright people who post on here and there’s a lot of bright people who spend a lot of money on GTFC and he might be wise to not take supporters for granted. As Gary Croft said yesterday, it doesn’t take many drubbings, particularly at home, to reduce gate receipts. Many people are struggling financially at present and twenty quid plus is hard earned, particularly around here.

Yeah definitely. I think a more coy, probably smarter, answer would have gone along the lines of 'Oh I don't get chance or the time...' rather than give fuel to those who are just waiting to knock him down.

Not sure where the correlation is between him not engaging on the fishy and taking supporters for granted? I listened to the interview on the way to the match and seem to recall he was complimentary about the fans but, in my opinion, was quite rightly disappointed how quickly the home fans got on certain players backs in the Harrogate game. An opinion many of us commented on here about at the time. He does like to “quote a quote” and drop in the titles and authors of books he’s read but surely that’s just his character and who he is, certainly doesn’t make me feel inferior as I catch up with the latest edition of Viz!!

Let’s say JS starts to engage with people on here, it would just become a stick to beat him with in the future.
‘ JS should spend less time on the fishy and more time sorting the team out…’
‘ insert generic nonsense here with reference to all or some of the following: B corp, Scotch Eggs, The Guardian, Glass Barriers, Main Stand Posts, lefty, Beetroot, Values, education and so on and so forth.
And then some very original and hilarious person will say ‘ when has your owner engaging on the fishy ever won you 3 points on a Saturday afternoon? ‘

Yes you are right, but the trolls just have to find something/one to spout their garbage on here, so they just pick out someone and vomit absolute rubbish.

It's highly amusing that when someone makes a point that doesn't correlate with your opinion that they become a 'troll'. There's quite a few threads where you've name called.

The bloke's a millionaire businessman and sent large donations to Lisa Nandy's last Labour leadership campaign where she very clearly positioned herself to be on the centre-right of the party. Absolutely mad that some of the braindead on here think he's akin to the second coming of Corbyn simply because he writes a few wishy-washy liberal columns in the Guardian (which hasn't been a left wing newspaper since they shat themselves over the government's response to their Edward Snowdon leaks and let GCHQ and MI5 into their offices to destroy all the leaked evidence they held).

Both JF and JS were/are shocked by what they got into. In essence, they come from being in full charge of their own destinies to having to explain themselves to fans. JF tried to run GTFC as fish factory, sweating the assets, penny pinching, and everybody multitasking, hence some jobs were amateurish, like the media/news. In comes a new broom, and I suspect he's running it like an Insurance Agency where Logos, Media/news output and a monthly letter to a newspaper all matter. But there is a cost to this eg Debbie. JS never employed a Debbie, or proper Media types or invested in Data. That costs real money, but comes from the same pot as the Team purchase, so something has got to give. I would be interested in knowing what the expenditure (None Team) increase is at GTFC, since JS left, and there is the point, I was never interested in JF's Fish Factory nor JS's B Corp UK organisation, but I'm questioning things at GTFC and both JF and JS didn't/don't like it, hence the tetchyness. He's right the fishy is awful. It's so bad I will list a few things this board has done and continued to do:
Raise money for the youth team Sponsored players Opened up a talk group and support one another Raised money for charities Organised fan games v local rivals raising money
Oh and worst of all the people of this forum has helped save someone's life in the past.

I still don't know why Matt Dean singled out the Fishy and asked him to comment. He could have said social media in general, praise and grumble, Facebook, Twitter or indeed callers to Radio Humberside all of whom often talk more nonsense than we do.
I agree with the poster who said fans forums are the least productive and often the most boring of interactions with fans.
Any fans who take to social media in all its forms are likely to be the ones with big opinions, for good or bad but these are real fans so should be encouraged even if you disagree with them.

B Corp is both shady and sinister. It has done more damage to UK Ltd than the Luftwaffe did, and individual people have suffered . Serious damage. EG Lloyds Bank has had to pay out £1/2 million (£1 million once they pay all costs) to a certain Mr Borg-Neal (who was sacked after blurting out the N word in full instead of N whilst being indoctrinated under DEI "rules" which B Corp promotes. Lloyds is B Corp Certified. Mr Stockwood promotes B Corp in the UK . Now that you you have called me crackers, can I have some cheese on them?

It seems a new world thing that the small % of people who cross the line on anything get's blown out of proportion as the majority of the census which is just bizarre - I hardly see people foaming at the mouth abusing Stockwood or crossing the line most have been appreciative of the new boards efforts ; of course there is a few with an agenda , disagree or have opposing views but that's just the same in all walks of life isn't it ? Still find it strange the fishy gets brought up , I never have heard a particular football forum mentioned in any other interviews with club chairman /managers etc it seems a suprisingly narrow line of questioning from Dean tbh maybe he was short on questions , let's be honest in the main we all know where we are atm so there isn't really much more that can be added maybe the best would be to lay of the interviews with the board for a while really until any significant update on anything ?

You called out my content thus "You don’t need to do that d**khead….just read back what you’ve written and check it makes sense, rather than being some rambling, semi-literate, irrelevant b0llocks."
How is anyone to answer that pray tell.?
Look, go back and read. I’ve got no more energy left to converse with an absolute balloon who actually published, and presumably stands by, the opinion that, and I quote: “B Corp has done more damage to Britain than the Luftwaffe’.

But that's not the point - irrespective of which platform you choose there is no need for posters to be so offensive and insulting. I don't care if other clubs forums are like that - that doesn't concern me, only my clubs forums. Just because other people use that tone there is no excuse to drag things down to their level. It's been mentioned that it's only a few posters but they seem to be more prolific and even that misses the point. Things are said on here anonymously that those same posters would never dare say to their targets face.

Which is why the Fishy has a set of rules. Saw them once but hanged if I can find them now! If a) the forum rules were easily referenced and b) mods enforced them more often, then we could concentrate on footy issues rather than who said what to whom.

Fishy is good for news but many folk don’t seem to know how to disagree in a civilised manner.
I'd like to kindly disagree with you here if you do not mind

What's true is true. B Corp has hurt a lot of companies and individual people. It is Sinister. It should be banned.

Me neither but I somehow doubt it has killed 70,000 civilians like the Luftwaffe did.

It's an artificial construct, which details the values your company should persue which any normal person would do anyway, but you pay them for the privilege and get an "accreditation " to show your commitment to it. It used to be known as a "good company to deal with."

That is nothing more than a deliberate or misinformed, crass misrepresentation/over simplification of what it is. Not all organisations are the same and nor should they be. You make it sound like it’s an imposition or a deception, and I’d bet every pound I’ve got that’s because you have concluded that it’s ‘lefty’ or ‘woke’. People can do their own research and they’ll see it much the same as scores of other business/organisation related voluntary ‘charter marks’ or ideals or principles. It’ll suit some. It won’t suit others. It’s not sinister and it’s not compulsory.

I'm sure the aforementioned Pastor would have preferred to have dealt with a third party standard requiring companies to meet social, environmental and accountability standards as opposed to the Nazi party.

I don't know why so many posters are getting their knickers on a twist over B Corps. It's just a manufacturing/ procedural standard that is applied to how a company is run and its procedural structures. This is not dissimilar to company's that manufacture products to BSI standards, ISO9001 manufacturing procedures or when a frozen food company wants to manufacture goods for a well known branded name ie M&S or Waitrose. It subjects itself to scrutiny of its internal procedures/ standards and allows frequent audits to ensure that it does what it says.

You are Mixing BSI standards of manufacture, BRC Certification of food production with B Corp DEI ????????? For pity sake!!! ...................................................................................................... DA talking with a board member of his requirements in the January Window. DA: Well boss lets start with the GK as Cartwright is playing well however he is on loan, and our GK Eastwood isn't there yet. So I've found and made contact with Jonny Catcher who has quick reflexes and commands the box. Board: Oh I don't know, he is white. DA: I'm puzzled Board: We think Harry Fumbles is the better choice. DA: Harry Fumbles? He can't catch a cold. I'm sure he has problems with his eyes as he's colour blind, passes the ball to the opposition. Board: Colourblind" Great that will add a few more points to the DEI score. All adding up. DA: Well let's park that one for now. My next requirement is a centre-back. Freddy Fast springs to mind, we've run all the Data on him and he can out-jump anyone, is right-footed but has a great left foot, and is fast. over the 20-meter test. Board: You forgot Nigel Snail. Great kid, comes from a broken home, and his dad came out trans last year. DA: But he's slow, even Luke could catch him, and nobody knows which foot is his good foot as they are both bad. Board: You still not getting Diversity Equity and Inclusion Dave, we need to move up the DEI Table to get certification. What we need is to somehow blend in Net Zero into our work for the points. DA: Well if we employ people on DEI and not Merit we will have Net Zero alright. No points on the League table. DA: Thinking to himself. I wonder how long Troy will last at Forest Green Rover, at least at FGR I just have to pretend to like Tofu.

Grimpol - I apologise from the Colourblind community as we obviously hurt you with our inability to see whatever weird colours are in your reality. You’d think seeing thing a bit more Black and White wouldn’t be a bone of contention on this forum!
More generally though I was always brought up with “if you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” - you might want to learn that lesson as your DEI rant is pretty disgusting.
