...we were a non league club.

Worth buying he Non League Paper today. It is packed full of coverage of the final, plenty of interviews and great pictures. All in all a pretty decent souvenir for £1.80. And of course we will never feature in it again!

Plus, it's proof that it really did happen.

Yes,  looked forward to buying it today.  Every Sunday it seems we are featured recently. 😁

Don’t forget to immediately cancel your subscription to the NL Paper. And hopefully on a permanent basis.

Has any other team, in any division, played for 4 hours in the playoffs (3 games going to extra-time)?

And/or scoring 9 goals in winning the playoffs?

Don’t forget coming from behind in every game, with 3 last minute goals…

To be fair, I know there was like 8 minutes left or whatever last week but it felt last minute…

Six years ago I walked into my village newsagents, all

When I picked it up this morning I was careful not

I write this post at 17:45, this time last week I just kept saying to my lad “how have we pulled this off”? I’m not sure I know now TBH.

Got a non league ground guide I no longer need, tagged a few of my Scunthorpe friends and neighbours but no takers.

This time last week I was preparing my speech for winning post of the week with 85 ✅'s and 18 ⭐'s before being cruelly pipped at the post by Wrex Reds 83 ✅'s and 39 ⭐'s post 😡

You could of course rectify this by making this post Post Of The Week 👍

I don’t fancy your chances, Chalky old pal. Haven’t you got some non-league forums to be frequenting?

It’s called The great escape

Dead Eye Dobbin stood motionless waiting, waiting, waiting for the ball to arrive. Back came the right foot, Down came the right foot, Bang ! Headlines around the world as the ball flew into the very top right hand corner of the goal.( Jim Dobbin scoring in the 89th minute for Town against Newcastle United away 24/10/1992 )

Still cant believe it.

96th minute equaliser. Really?

119th minute winner. Surely not.

Putting 5 past Wrexham on their own their patch? Nah. Couldn't happen.

Three extra time winners after coming back from behind? Come on.

Beating the 5th, 2nd and 3rd placed teams in a fortnight. Hey, you having a laugh?

Whoever wrote this script is crazy. Mental, just mental.

How could any team do all of that?

We did score 3 last minute goals. 2 at Notts County and 1 at Wrexham.

Yes, I am really interested to see what slant they put on our win. Will they go with the Parkinson narrative of 'we woz robbed by the ref' or will they actually credit us with an astonishing win proving that money can't guarantee success? Our fairy tale is rather more romantic than theirs that's for sure.

And the "NEWSNOW" website have finally promoted us to League 2 today, great to see, no sign of Scunny though

Sorry, yes, 6 hours played in the playoffs.  I enjoyed every minute, especially some of the last minutes.😁😁😇

They could not make a drama out of our great achievement.  It would seem unbelievable - even for a dramatic football story.
