As well as a severe lack of goals, the defence proved that they were playing like a Swiss cheese with extra holes.

Teams leaking goals make it so much harder to.win games.

Hurst needs to have a steady set of defenders in place, because 20 + strikers will be hard to persuade to move to our East coast location.

Cheaper housing is our only real plus point, as usual..

I hope that Hurst and new directors have an early budget talk and Hurst has targets in mind.

What makes it worse is that Cheltenham won promotion to League 1 tonight. I fecking hate Cheltenham and they are now 2 leagues above us.

Not to mention pub teams like Barrow, Harrogate,
Forest Green, Salford, Accrington, Fleetwood, Sutton, Torquay,
are considerably better than us.

Not sure it was confirmed but certainly a good bet when we failed to beat Southend at home.

On the season as a whole John Fenty you are a girl private.

Ian Holloway, not sure if he was starting to have a breakdown listening to his ramblings after each game or was he here on the pretext of possibly make money on the back of Fenty's dealings with that criminal fraudster, I cannot think of any other reasons that the twit would move half-way up the country to an outpost like Grimsby.

As regards Paul Hurst, I cannot believe that Fenty, Day and the prospective new owners brought him in to get us set for a promotion winning season in the National League. If it was to keep us in the EFL then he has failed. Now some on here bleat about him making us hard to beat, yes we have had a couple of recent wins but too little too late.

This was a comment on the Barrow forum :-

Key at this stage of the season is not how many games you lose, it's all about how many you win. Unbeaten runs with a load of draws are useless. Barrow hardly draw a game but they win a decent share which is what you need.

Spot on comment for me especially now they have just gone to FGR and won.

When Paul Hurst arrived he said he had been following our results and watching the games so he must have known how crap some of the players were and he tried to change the whole team bringing in 11 new players but that failed.

Some say he has a great knowledge of players in the EFL and Non League but pb]bringing in both Payne and LJL as the men to get us goals has also failed.[/b] His abject failure to get a team to beat the likes of Southend, Stevenage, Colchester, Walsall at home as well as a couple more teams on dreadful runs has done for us.

The simple facts are that despite being in charge for 4 more games than Holloway he has acheived less wins and only managed the same points.

I appreciate he will be in charge for next season but unless we are near the top come Christmas he will have to go.

It's a travesty really as we all know there was a plethora of available, in form and fit strikers capable of scoring a goal every other game in L2 who were desperate to sign for a basket case club sitting 22nd in the league and with a very real chance of being relegated who pay shite wages and is located in the bottom-end of nowhere during a three month national lockdown.

Depends if the National League allows it with licensing. The EFL run iFollow and were able to do it with licensing and being in charge are able to get a guy with a camera into all the stadiums with a BBC radio feed, a lot of the licensing problems to do with Sky Sports/BT etc. having the final say due to what speaks the most - money.

Technically it wouldn't be too difficult. Town already have their own camera to film all the games and even the bloke on the gantry (I forget his name) doing the commentary. They use that to send clips off to the media, for the club YouTube channel/website & for showing replays back to the management staff/players. All they need to do is hook it up to an internet connected computer, setup a page to watch the games with a video player and set up a payment system and limit it to outside UK internet connections. Depends if it's worth it really financially. I know we have a decent following outside of the UK. Away games would be more difficult though.

John Moore is the commentator, now though the highlights on YouTube etc are provided by the company that runs the Ifollow feeds.

Having done some media work in the past and by going to the vast majority of away games especially in the National League it would be difficult to film the games at some of the smaller grounds due to the lack of gantry space and the fact that home clubs have to film their own games for BT they also likely these days have an analyst camera person as well as Town's analyst, it would be difficult to get another camera crew in.

Having had the majority of highlights tapes and DVDs over the years I know that Town's camera crew weren't allowed into some League grounds.

That’s his name!

Yeah, my point exactly making it difficult for away games. Blundell Park is actually quite good for media coverage though with the high gantry, which you can tell by the iFollow feed having good camera work even with a single camera. Some of the other League Two teams have had pretty poor iFollow camera work due to the stadiums.

If town connected their analyst camera up to an internet feed I’d think they could make a decent go out of it.

Hook it up to an internet connected computer/laptop running OBS (https://obsproject.com/) and a decent backend stream provider and they’re most of the way there.

Not sure about that but Bogle certainly was. If we had coughed up the cash he would have come.  But investing in players is not something the current board ever contemplate.

Well done John Fenty.

You have proved that your achievement in getting us booted out of the EFL in 2010 was no fluke.
