I see that both the Grimsby & Cleethorpes Tory MPs voted for the Social Care plan yesterday - despite the fact that many people in the area will be hit disproportionately compared to those in the South with more expensive homes.
As Ginny quite rightly says - Kunts, the lot of 'em.

Plenty of pensioners and those approaching old age on here who voted for exactly what’s being dished out. It would be objectively VERY funny if they themselves were to suffer as a result of these policies and I very much hope it happens.

Another change to legislation which regressively benefits the wealthy over those with fewer assets? Who'd have thought it?
I mean, on the one hand, I suppose they've actually done something about the problem rather than kicking the can down the road, but on the other hand, they've ignored Dilnot's recommendations and instead voted through something will further increase wealth inequality in the country.
My guess is that the families of every single MP to vote for it will benefit greatly from the legislation. And the ones with two jobs will benefit even more.

Not one to be drawn over political lines, as I don’t know enough to even harbour a view on what goes on, but surely, and apologies if mentioned previously, whichever power leads the country, there will always be complaints. As wide as the political spectrum is, there will always be some form of corruption and discontent.
The meals, if that is a quality representation of what Is provided, is nowhere near good enough and/or acceptable. And from what I’ve seen, the outsourced catering in schools by local authorities is sometimes diabolical. Maybe school inspectors should have to take in an interest in school meal provisions also (if they don’t already that is)
Am fortunate that I was brought up by parents and grandparents that loved to cook, and I worked and gained experience in catering for many years so I really feel for kids that are being brought up by ping chefs and ready meals. IMHO home economics (and all its derivatives) should be on the national curriculum. It’s easy to make a healthy nutritional meal for £5 for a family of 4 or 5 but the generations need showing how to do it.
That’s why I think society has a lot to answer to over politics. How many times do we see those claiming poverty having all the luxurious goods in the world but no nutrition in the fridge. But, if parents want to choose sky tv, 20 B&H and a bottle of lambrini over vegetables and a decent meal, then that’s their prerogative. Just don’t complain when you are buying yourself 5 scratch cards in the hope you can go out at the weekend*.

Yet, the red cross brigade are out en-force. I haven’t slagged any political party off but people take umbrage on others opinions. I don’t think it’s down to political divide but moreover social being. Maybe social expulsion. Those that want will always castigate those that have and those that have will always repent at those that don’t. That’s life. But, instead of hiding behind your red crosses, have the balls and speak up where you think I have said something wrong

I’ve never understood socialism so haven’t done this on purpose. From what I understand of it, many parts are correct. The government should own its own infrastructures such as transportation, power, education and health. Certain amenities should not be outsourced. There’s no point having a nice house but no furniture is there! I’ve a very very good friend that is much more well informed about this than I could ever be Certain prime ministers down the years have boiled my p1ss yet others have just been down right wet f@rts. I don’t think there been more than 2 ‘good’ PM’s while I’ve had the chance to vote and if it wasn’t for Keir Starmer being such a load of drivel, I think labour would’ve been back in power today. But over the past 20 years we’ve gone from a murderer that wanted to stay in bed with the yanks and a jock that just spent money like it was going out of fashion to an oxbridge pig lover and someone akin to a highly educated goofball. I know nothing about right wing or left wing politics and always thought Dave Gilbert and Gary Childs had become councillors when that was mentioned!
