The total closure of garden centres and recycling centres was not seen in Germany and several other countries and was never explained in Covid terms. There was a Whitehall panic and a need to be seen to be doing something, however illogical. More is known about transmission now so we ought have less '' Don't panic!' or ''We're doomed I tell ya'' and more ''Do you think that's wise Sir?''

Circus folks and travellers won't have to follow the same rules. They can break into council property and be given health checks and bins instead of batons and removal notices. They'll be able to pack people into a little tent while the FL has to follow the rules or Boris will get angry.
