Today at 1500 hrs at Wembley.

We played on the 5 June.  Bromley to take nearly 20,000 so the overall attendance will be low.

Boston will replace the winner as they came from a goal behind to beat Brackley 2-1.  Well done.  And a division above Scunny.

Whoever wins, we lose. Even though their manager is a helmet i'd still prefer Bromley to come up on the basis that:

- Their ground actually slightly resembles a football stadium instead of some tents and marquees erected around the edge of a Sunday league pitch
- Their ground is within walking distance of pubs and a railway station and not some dreadful out of town site miles away from anything except a car factory and an airport runway like Solihull's is
- They'd have to rip up their horrible plastic pitch if they do win
- They're marginally better supported than Solihull

So of course Solihull are going to win today aren't they

Prefer Bromley as some of the lads put on here it looks like the ground has been upgraded somewhat since the last time I went . Decent access for anyone down south .

Solihull was just meh and can't imagine that's improved much and there is certainly less to do around there with multiple fuel station , roundabouts and not much else + the long walk to the ground is troubling for the less athletic among us . I suppose it might be alright if you made a weekend of it in Birmingham ?

Are Bromley still an odious set of cunts? If so then Solihull (don't care whether they meet the mythical proper threshold or not)

3 of last season's promoted clubs are going straight back down, so it's good chance it will happen.

Without fact checking this, I think it’s a pretty rare occurrence in League Two. There’s usually a small handful of dysfunctional clubs operating at this level, and you have to be quite a bit better than that to get out of the National League.

I assume you are referring to Kidderminster, Dorking and Oxford City.  The fact they only lasted one season in the National League should have no bearing as to whether Bromley or Solihull survive a year in League Two.

Bromley finished above Solihull, so that's a reason to root for them.

Not a great game but don't think either team look that bad tbf ,either will probably hold their own in league 2 like Sutton did unless the team gets broken up like there's .

If Solihull come back and win, would Osborne leave the club as he would be playing league football? (As he did with us).

Just think he's unwilling and / or incapable of living anywhere outside of Birmingham - was really odd how he almost insisted on being loaned back to Solihull after signing for us and coming back from a long injury layoff. Wasted talent if you ask me, more than good enough to have been playing league football.

If Solihull win this, it's so obvious Bromley will be moaning about the keeper not being sent off (when it was never a sending off in a billion years)

Moors dominant towards the end of normal time.  But Bromley still had the better chances.

Bromley dominant in ET.  Osborne subbed and a blow for Moors.

We are playing Bromley!

Good pens and bad pens.

Feel a bit sorry for Moors as they lost to us as well.

With Sbarra, Osborne and Clarke? Subbed they did not have skilled players to take pens.

Sure I remember reading someone who couldn't face going to Bromley next season, i.e. relegation. Be careful what you wish for.

sodomist !!! Bromley win. Used to have a soft spot for them as my best friend sponsored their shirts for a while, when we played them always seemed odd being an away fan as a guest amongst the home fans. Hated them since Woodman came out with the comments he did.
Have we ever beat them ??

Baldrick ! The only impression you can do is that of a man with no talent !!

Woodsman turned me against them too

My step dad was a Bromley player back in the day.
I’d have been as pleased as punch for him today if he were still alive but he sadly passed away some years back so I take no pleasure in their promotion

Fingers crossed it’ll mean one team guaranteed to finish below us next season. Just another 22 to go 😗

Wouldn't fancy them first up away with the excrement*ouse tactics and some momentum .

Will probably be like Sutton and hang around for a few years until that lump takes a bigger job .

I think they'll do ok. They'll probably keep the players. Well organised side. Least defeats in the league and best defensive record. Geography is in their favour.

Congratulations Bromley. Overall they did just enough to deservedly win. Loved that cheeky wink and smile by their captain before he hammered in the winning penalty with superb aplomb. That was class.
Feel a bit for Solihull though. So close again.

Sure I remember reading someone who couldn't face going to Bromley next season, i.e. relegation. Be careful what you wish for.

They will still be better off than in NL with their plastic pitch .

It's 500k-600k to rip up the new pitch and relay I think . They will get around 1.3 million extra with being in league 2 from the TV deal etc .

Will be interesting to see if they get more than their regular 2.5k crowds in league 2 .

Bromley is in zone 5 so you can get there with a travel card. Victoria is only 5 stops from Kings Cross. I reckon you can get to Bromley South from KC quicker than one of the tube stations near Barnet. Driving is another matter of course.

For those of us driving there plenty of parking, driving past the "travellers horse fields" and travelling community accommodation.

I seem to remember being surprised that we only just sold out for the match that was supposed to be on the opening day of 21/22

15 mins from Denmark Hill too, which means you can have food/beers around Peckham beforehand. That's up there with Hackney Wick/Leyton Orient for a hipster London day out.

I find it quite refreshing that the FL has a "new" team in its structure. To me it's doesn't matter how many fans it attracts , they have attained FL status on merit and surely that is what the whole FA pyramid is all about. Bromley is London's biggest borough in terms of area with a population of 335,000. As English football gets more expensive for followers of Premietsh*t and Championship clubs then I can see a rise in support for lower league and non-league clubs. It's easy for us to take a view considering our long league history but I'm sure we would see things different if we had never had FL status.

Regards Osbourne.

Great player, on paper a great signing but shocking lack of diligence done by the club on this one.  He was one of a few signed by Bignot from the Midlands area who had an agreement regards commuting, which is ridiculous over that distance. Once Bignot left the agreement was one Slade/Fenty weren't prepared to work with.

Can't blame the player for wanting to stick to the agreement he made when signing for the club.  Probably didn't help that as this was happening he did his knee too.  Whole episode summed the club up around that time.

Definitely a homeboy and that's absolutely his prerogative.  Always a bit surprised that a lower league Midlands club didn't come in for him. Walsall, Burton, Northampton even.  I believe he went back part-time and is a fully qualified electrician so could be as much on his terms as anything else.
