This report, if the link works, is an Historic England commissioned experimental pilot project to improve understanding of historic public houses along the Lincolnshire coast,  North East Lincolnshire is from page 47 onwards, but it's all quite interesting, if a bit sad.

Thanks for that, it's a very interesting read. I believe when the Cross keys, high street Cleethorpes, was knocked down the council of the day insisted that the name was to be retained as pub. This was in New Waltham which is now The Farmhouse!



You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time
