Sunderland don't mess about.
Quoted from Sky News
Michael Beale has parted company with Sunderland after just eight weeks in charge.

Beale oversaw just four wins in 12 games after succeeding Tony Mowbray.

The former QPR and Rangers boss' final game in charge was the 2-1 defeat to Birmingham on Saturday.

4 wins from 12 games is a disgrace (and precisely double Artell's record).

I hope it's reported in the Guardian so Jason can read it, it could give an idea of what to do with Artell.

Very bored by these cheap childish digs. The newspaper our owner chooses to write for has absolutely no bearing on his ability to run a football club.

I saw on the highlights he subbed a player and as he was passing Beale to sit on the bench he held out his hand to shake Beale's hand and Beale just blanked him.

I bet that player is laughing his whatsits off now.

We should never have appointed Beale but I'd have given him a little longer before sacking him. Unlike Artell  Beale had nothing concrete on his c.v. to suggest he could do the job. It's back to the caretakers till the season ends when it's to be hoped the owner can make a better choice.

I believe at the end of each article he has it refers to him as being Chairman of Grimsby, so he draws the club and fans into each word he writes. Jason and Andrew have already admitted they had no knowledge of how to run a football club, so in their words, it is a learning curve for them.

One prime example was the dismissal of PH, whom they had contemplated doing it earlier because of data. When they did it they had no replacement lined up. We are now in a similar situation with Artell, but at a more serious time of the season, relegation to the NL. Sunderland have sacked their manager whose record was better than that of Artell.

We now come to The Fishy. Jason said on RH that he no longer takes notice of the comments on it. So we have The Fishy in meltdown because of Artell's tactics and a chairman who is not going to read it. The Fishy is also, in my opinion, the premier fans site for Mariner supporters and Jason chooses to ignore it.

He then puts out a statement on X, not that all fans have X, stating that we should all dig in. To me a childish statement as he forgets that we have dug in for nearly 20 years. If he had chosen to read comments in The Fishy he probably would have sacked Artell by now.

Finally, if you think I am anti JS & AP, I am not. I am supportive of them but on this occasion, they are very naive, when it comes to footballing matters. So when putting in my post about the Sunderland news it was not childish nor a dig but a logical sensible post given the above.

So what do you know about running a football club to be able to give them such sage advice?

None of which explains why you think him writing for the Guardian is a problem so worthy of comment that it is raised on a thread about another club. There’s also a big difference between writing a tweet and taking feedback from the fishy. We’ve had a chairman who logged on the fishy after a glass of red and it certainly didn’t help his decision making.

He was given a 2 and a half year contract the same as Dave Artell but Sunderland are obviously a much more wealthy club than we are and that is the only reason we still have Dave Artell as our manager, the owners cannot afford to pay him off if they sack him.

Dead Eye Dobbin stood motionless waiting, waiting, waiting for the ball to arrive. Back came the right foot, Down came the right foot, Bang ! Headlines around the world as the ball flew into the very top right hand corner of the goal.( Jim Dobbin scoring in the 89th minute for Town against Newcastle United away 24/10/1992 )
