No point in going overboard in either direction with a new signing. I trust Hurst to get it right more often than not and he builds squads more than signs star players.  He's a hardworking physical but not tall striker in the same mold as Lloyd and to me, looks like his direct replacement in the squad.

We have probably signed one of the top 5 all round strikers in the league .
No one can moan about this one .
Stevenage fans wanted to keep him to .

Guaranteed double digit goals if given a run of games and great team player .

Thanks to the club and board for getting this one done , a decent statement of intent and confirms to me we are no longer bargain basement fodder (his wage won't be cheap for sure and we even paid a fee!)

Looks good on paper, played regularly all season in a promoted side and knows where the goal is. Hope for a successful run with us. Much like with getting out the NL again at the first time of asking we need to be bringing in those players who have been promoted, players who have the playoffs experience that know what it takes to beat teams in our league and get out of it.

To be honest, there's not a lot of negativity around which is a surprise. I thought that I'd of seen a lot more 1 in 4 goal contribution for a striker why is everyone so happy?

Gutted that I won't be able to watch any game live next year as I have a feeling that we will be one hell of a side.

A lot of headed goals there for a relatively short footballer. Michael Owen was a similar height and scored lots of headers so I think we'll see more movement in the box next season. Just need to get the good crosses in for him!

Yeah I really like his bits , I don't post on twitter but enjoy some of the more sensible posters - GY fanalaytics , Grimsby Boy, 'On This Day' and the DN35 boys offer some good thoughts always wonder if they are on here .
