If I remember correctly not a single trawler was ever out on the sea on this day and there was always a very special atmosphere at BP. Not that we seemed to win very often!! All the best for today. UTM

My main memory of Good Friday games were the riots after the matches, I think Mansfield and Chesterfield spring to mind.

I don't think 'riots' is the right word to use.  If you had been in real riots, you would know the difference.

Against Norwich there was a bottle on the side of the pitch which was tossed back into the crowd and hit a young lad.

I’ve had a very Good Friday so far. Mrs. Bucks went to the supermarket and left me in charge of domestic duties. Done the washing and drying, dishwasher done and emptied so brownie points in abundance
Only just had time to watch the replay of Southampton and the highlights of the Wrexham play off semi. Just popping up for J Arthur before she gets back and Town wallop the monkey hangers
Bliss!!

I used to love the Easter games.

3 in 4 days. Fri, Sat and Mon always good crowds modern day footballers don't know what that would be like.

If the only good thing about Good Friday is that Scunthorpe United lost we have lowered ourselves to a an awful level, our result and performance against Hartlepool was not only disappointing but also embarrassing.

Dead Eye Dobbin stood motionless waiting, waiting, waiting for the ball to arrive. Back came the right foot, Down came the right foot, Bang ! Headlines around the world as the ball flew into the very top right hand corner of the goal.( Jim Dobbin scoring in the 89th minute for Town against Newcastle United away 24/10/1992 )
