Well done on beating Stains. That was delicious!

I was going to sign up on here with my usual forums moniker Captain Haddock but somehow it didn’t seem appropriate this time, besides which you may well have an existing using with that name - if not, why not?!

As you’ll see from my alternative username I run an Albion fans’ podcast and we’ll be doing a feature preview in the run up, no doubt. Please look out for it next week if you can. I am however duty bound to give you a heads up that another BHA pod called The Albion Roar, with my old mates Ady and Alan will be having your club chairman on as a guest (next midweek). By bizarre chance Al is married to a Grimsby lass who happened to go to school with the chairman back in the day!

Hope you’ve all managed to get tickets for the game, which promises to be a cracking occasion. We’ve been buying loads of inflatable seagulls for good measure!

For those of you coming down you’ll have a great time. Loads of good places to eat and drink in both Brighton & Hove and Lewes. If any of you like ales and craft beer you’ll especially love it! My stomach tells me I’ve been enjoying far too many through the years!

A ha great post. You all seem a friendly lot, never seen so many opposition fans posting on here. I’m sure it’s all a plot to lure us all into a false sense of security! Great fact about Stockwood and the Grimsby lass, will sure give it a listen.

Judging by our last experience, we want VAR to be fit and healthy for this one!

At this rate, VAR could be one of our most influential and important players this season.  So far only made very positive contributions for us.

Do you think the squad would take it in the right spirit if we voted for VAR as Player of The a Year?!

Hello, hope Sue is well Alan kindly helped AussieMariner and myself out last year by allowing me to put something on their site when we did charity walk for MacMillan. Nice bunch you Brighton fans, very helpful then and now with the question thread on here.

Don’t go too mad a week on Sunday..hope you guys will give our lads recognition for what they’ve achieved in the cup and the tremendous support going. And good luck for rest of season..been outstanding to watch as a neutral.

Brighton fans have been class on here. Hope they give us a big round of applause whatever the result. I agree with Jase - enjoy watching Brighton play football the right way, and competing at that level is awesome.

They’re a really good bunch in my experience (and I have a fair bit). A mightily impressive club on almost every level three days, but a fan base that knows some very hard times too.

We would not get the same kind of respect from the big 6 types.

I think Brighton are a good example of what good ownership & positivity can achieve, maybe we’ll not hit those heights in the future but clearly there’s something quite inspiring about their journey.

Enjoy watching them play as they play good attacking football in the right way, fully agree though we may need a 3 goal start, at least.

Don’t know Sue well, though we’ve socialised a bit. I believe she’s well and good. She and Al live in my old hometown of Worthing nowadays while I’m in North London.

Great to hear about the help for the charity walk.

Incidentally, if anyone on here fancies popping on our preview pod next week give me a shout on this thread or by DM. Date is yet tbc but likely flexible.

We release ours in stages - currently there's about 4000 to sell and they go on sale to Albion + members guests at 9am today. I reckon this will get rid of 1000 ish today but who knows. Then tomorrow at 9am people with previous match purchases can buy so expect another 2000 to go then. That will leave us with the final 1000 ish to slowly drip sell to a sell out. It's a very efficient way of doing it as our servers don't crash and it's mostly fair. The downside is we never sell any cup game out in a day so we don't have the big headline to shout about.
