They all have had their moments. Some have been overwhelming victories, others heroic defensive performances. Southampton had the added spice of top fight competition and the VAR drama.

Without doing the maths, I think the Southampton match makes my all time top 10 Town games (or at least gets very close to it).

The others were all great in their own way, the first half of the Luton replay especially, but not quite that good.

Question is, is the best game of this cup run still to come?

Don't forget Luton away. We went 2-1 down and looked beaten and we scored from the kick-off with that Orsi flick.

Luton H. Home and hosed at half time, no sweat. Close second was the Plymouth match. I took my niece to BP for the first time and explained to her on the way there that we’d more than likely lose and eventually the big clubs fight it out for a place at Wembley at the end of the competition….

The last forty mins on Weds I found quite stressful but the scenes at full time were incredible.

The Plymouth game was a good game, they were flying in league one (my Lincoln mates said we’d get battered by them)  so it was nice to get one over them lot 😎

Grimsby and proud!

Probably not, Paul Mullin has 8 goals in the FA Cup alone as the top scorer.

To some extent, I don’t think any of our games in the cup have been boring or forgettable, May be the Burton game was a bit drab but both Luton games were great, as was Plymouth at home.

Then you factor in Southampton and it actually looks like an enjoyable run.

Let’s not forget the history making game coming up too. Win, lose or draw, we’re in the quarter final of the FA cup, which, for a club like Town is unthinkable really. Then, when I think about it some more, I believe it’s winnable. A sensible Brighton fan will know that too. I think it’s similar for Brighton as it was Luton and Southampton, they can’t really win. If they actually win people go, ‘well they should beat a mid table league 2 side’ and if they lose people say ‘bloody rubbish, they’re only a league 2 side’.

What I know, and we know is, we won’t just be going for a day out. We’ve got nothing to lose and buckets of self belief. Some heroic defending from Waterfall, a worldy from Mcatee, some never say die work rate from Clifton and who knows? Another flipping moron centre half giving away a daft penalty…

It’s doable and winnable and you flipping betcha we’ve all had a look at the semi final dates and the seating plan for Wembley. Dare to flipping dream. Drink it in. What a flipping time to be a town fan.

Can’t wait to get dicked 3-0 at Carlisle today…

Yeah, Wrexham have scored more than us. We need another 4 to catch up...
