Just got our three seating tickets.

A new ground for us.

I actually went to Sutton, years ago.

I was staying at my brothers in London at the time and just wanted my Saturday football fix so went there.

I know they won 3-0 but I can't remember who it was they played.

IIRC the ground is not too far from the train station (West Sutton, I think) and there's a pub right outside the train station (if it's still there that is)

Station (West Sutton) next to ground if you use Thameslink trains. Sutton station is a 25 minute walk away and Southern trains from Victoria.

Right next to West Sutton station which is on Thameslink’s Sutton loop. Unfortunately 18th March is an RMT strike day so not sure if any services will be running.

Ha ha, looks like it. Gone the same way as Darley's and The Imp it seems! No doubt it'll be flats or a medical centre soon!

I went decades ago when I lived in London. They played Woking in a league fixture and I think it was a 0 0 draw. Never felt the need to go back.

Don't be too hasty making those travel arrangements for this one, it's FA Cup Quarter Finals that weekend.

Got a good friend down there who is both a fan of Sutton and Fulham. Going to make a weekend of it (assuming are not in the cup - the irony if it is us v Fulham!) Noticed the strikes are Thursday and Saturday. Plan to drive to Newark and train to Kings X Friday and back Sunday so hopefully won't be affected. He recommends The Old Bank and Shinner and Sudtone for drinks (both good).
