Well after that steward was horrifically savaged by an inflatable shark , lost use of both legs and hasn't slept since with the mental trauma then I fully understand the Saints viewpoint on these dangerous items.

Oh no...

Did my head in last season when the club tried to fabricate an inflatable movement and it just meant we had a few home games with beach balls bouncing around in the way and then the same at the London Stadium.

Bah humbug.

Suddenly the world seems a colder, sadder, crueller, less hopeful, more spiteful, devastatingly dull lump of rock to inhabit.

I suppose they have their reasons, so it would be undignified and classless to abuse them for it......

Not when only 2 of them inflate.

Still, they have no idea how obdurate we are. They've just ensured an incredibly busy night for their stewards

Believe there safety officer used to be a steward at Barnet.

So lets hope they are the ones with the deflated egos at the end of the match.

Clearly they’re dealing with things in priority & perspective, no manager, impending relegation, average squad. best player regularly courts interest from bigger clubs, disengaged supporter base and a potential FA cup banana skin….. so let’s deal with the inflatable fish challenge first.

One of the inflataballs at barnet was a blow up doll.

Take a few hundred of those instead and let them go after the kick off.

That will teach them

Only one way to sort this. Everyone take a Harry, discreet and deflated, then inflate once inside the ground. I’d love to see the stewards attempting to confiscate a shoal of a few thousand inflatable haddocks!

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

He's one of our own Harry the Haddock, he's one of our own.

Could get the team to run out waving them proudly , and then throw them into the crowd

Looking for a get out……

Why not let Harry Haddocks in, but they must put a donation in a charity bucket for a charity of your choice.  Do the right thing and a local charity could be a grand or so up, Grimsby Fans have a reputation of being charitable.

Regards,

Grantham Mariner

From a Southampton fan:

"Joyless tossers. They are coming for a good day out and our management see fit to spoil it for them. The only inflated things to be allowed in the stadium are to be the ball and Rasmus Ankersen's ego"

(Rasmus Ankersen is the co-founder and CEO of Sport Republic - the major shareholder of Southampton - and a director of the club. He is not popular.)

Also found this:

"I watched the Wrexham doc episode where they get knocked out of the play-offs by Grimsby and now I think we’re going to lose against them too."

Paul Underpants is missing off this list...

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. He looked seven stone wet through. He went on to score thirty-odd goals that season.' Lawrie McMenemy on encountering the legend that was Matt Tees.

Good tune, that. I did listen to it thinking that would be a great chant for us. Harry to mean Haddock, Clifton, Wainman etc and "going down the park" to mean the fortnightly pilgrimage to BP. Just needs someone to start it and other people to know it I guess

That wasn't an inflatable, it was the real Jimmy Krankie.

Thats it then ,
Thank you Southampton  for change of mind reversed decision, its going to go1 of 2 ways as i see it.
1. We turn up with a general amount of " Harry's" and various inflatables.
Or
2. We turn up and "Kick the Bum!" Out of it and go the whole hog better than Barnet ,because we are on the telly for the FA Cup.

Get the feeling anything bigger than a Harry they will try to confiscate as their inflatable ban is based on fans views being obstucted.
