A bit more money to be had if we can beat Luton as the 5th round tie at Southampton will be broadcast on ITV4.

I imagine that ITV will be hoping Luton win the replay since there's the Nathan Jones backstory to focus on.

Little old Grimsby might not give them much to go on, other than the league placings between the two teams (and Lawrie McMenemy, which won't mean much to the casual fans tuning in).

55k isn't it?

Take a fair few off the gate so probably levels out...gotta get past Luton first!

ITV assuming it won't be us. Otherwise they wouldn't show it. Let's prove them wrong.

Then again, if we end up being the lowest ranked team left in, there would be a lot of interest in us anyway.

I'd be so happy if they remember Tommy Forecast exists. A player Southampton part exchanged in a deal to sell Gareth freakin Bale. Those careers could not have gone any different.

We've done o.k. out of the cup so far. winning money and gate share for the 4th round, TV money and gate for the 5th round would wrap up a tidy sum.

It's about as likely as wining a play off semi away at the hot favourites and big spenders.

Dave Beasant too.

Kickstarted his career revival here, completed it at The Dell.

This whole Nathan Jones storyline is weak in comparison to the proper stuff we've got ready.

I hope this gives our players that little bit incentive to win (not that they need it) players at out our level aren't on TV a lot so this will be a rare chance for them to showcase what they can do live on TV!

Don't forget the money from round 6 aswell... all joking aside, it's a bit excrement it's been brought forward 30mins, I wonder what made them do that? IF we get through it's 2.5hrs for me without traffic, I'd be leaving at 4pm so it's touch and go but I'll be taking the risk if we win Tuesday

Are we any closer to getting promoted since Hurst has been here? No

Has he been given time to achieve promotion by the chairman and fans? Yes

Southampton are apparently 'reviewing' the appointment of Nathan Jones. He said he'd 'let the players down' on Saturday after their 3-0 loss to Brentford. Several players are said to be unhappy with the manager.

I'm wondering if it's due to trains back to London? Last one to Waterloo is 10pm. There's one to Paddington after but that doesn't get in until gone 1am.

There won’t be any consideration of the convenience of fans going to the game in the decision for KO time for any televised game, ever…that applies to rugby as well.

TV pundits and commentators yes, perhaps some.

Southampton have two games between now and any game against Town or Luton. Presumably if you don’t sack him now then you don’t sack him for a defeat at Chelsea (unless it’s heavy, which seems unlikely given their form in front of goal under Potter), but he probably has to beat Leeds at home if he’s to keep himself in gainful employment.
