Just seen the minutes applause for Pele and David Johnson at Liverpool.

Saw Johnson play for Liverpool at Anfield when we lost 5-0, what a great side they had.

RIP both.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Your a lucky man in being alive during the 1970s and seeing that Brazilian side of 1970 win the world cup . Many football journalists from what I've read all say the greatest international side ever .

I saw the great Rivelino play at Wembley in a friendly against England in 1978, he played in that team, what a player.

Pleased you got to see a Brazilian side and some of their magical players play live.

I think what's a shame and  Pele admitted as much is he never got to play at Wembley.

Actually got to see him in an 11 v 11 training session in the Bahamas in 1976 when he played for the New York Cosmos. My lad played in a local league at the YMCA and the Cosmos used their facilities for training during their trip. He played the first half, made a few short passes and scored a couple of goals. No one tackled him! but feel fortunate to have seen him play even though he was past his best. RIP GOAT.

I might be pedantic here but he was not as good a bekenbaur or Bobby Moore, not as good as schmeical either, however definitely the best attacking player ever in my humble opinion.
