To the town fan travelling on the M62 near Rochdale yesterday, apologies for the mad beeping of my horn and shouting Up the Mariners at you! I'm sure you probably thought it was some road rage nutter. As an exile it's not often I spot a town fan!

I used to do the same when I was in my van! Remember beeping like a man possessed in the middle of Bristol  because I was opposite an artic lorry with a town flag in the cab

Off on a tangent but it was the M62.
I'd got a Hamburger SV sticker for my rear window and the next day passed a German lorry on the M62 who flashed his lights and was honking away.
Window down and thumbs up from me resulted in more lights and honking, yup, you guessed it, fcuking St Pauli giving me the middle finger.

I was in a taxi in Chelmsford once and a Grimsby fish van pulled up next to me. I was punching the air out of the car window in joy. Guy never figured it out before he drove off.
