A few people have asked about this and it's just been posted on another forum:

Interesting figures in there.

Good to see us up the top 4 in most things but if all teams had played 10 away games, we could quite easily move up to 3rd above Mansfield.

Very good away support for Town, and other teams.  All the other 4 teams for the best-supported top 5 had “lower than average” miles to travel (see end column on the right).

This makes our figures look even better when adjusted.

Relatively speaking, Bradford's is quite disappointing? The likelihood is we'll end up with a higher following than them. I realise that will partially be because we can take 3,000 to Valley Parade but they could only bring 1,200 here but even still, I'd expect them to out do us.

Stockport have already been to Mansfield, Doncaster, Bradford, Tranmere and Salford. They've only really got Rochdale left which they'd take big numbers to. With Bradford, Donny and Mansfield to come, we could end up top of that list, despite what's looking like a pretty mid season.

Depends how you look at ours, though.

We’ve had 9 away days and sold out 7. Orient is sold out for the 3rd Dec. The only away days that we haven’t sold out have been Colchester and Tranmere on Tuesday nights and Sutton the other weekend.

It comes down to poor allocations as opposed to poor following per se.

We've had 9 away games and only sold out at 4 (Salford, Stockport, Orient and Hartlepool). Ones we haven't sold out at are Colchester, Newport, Walsall, Barrow and Rochdale.

We'd have taken a shed load more to 3 of those 4 if we could've done.

We're in the top 4 in points accrued away from home, and the bottom 3 at home. We don't like it at bp!

It’s a real bug bare of mine - even more so now because of the influx of tinpot opposition making their way here from non-league.

Our awaydays thus far:

Barrow - 620 (sold out)
Colchester - 467 (Tues)
Hartlepool - 704 (sold out)
Mansfield - 1,416 (originally sold 1,750 - game cancelled due to Queens death) - sold out)
Tranmere - 985 (Tues)
Harrogate - 600 (sold out)
Salford - 1,341 (sold out)
Grimsby - 1,223 (sold out)
Sutton - 755
Leyton O - 1,250 (sold out)

I think we’ll comfortably average 1,500+ once the awaydays come round that can actually accommodate an away following. Doncaster and Dale in particular.

I’d say, once we’ve played away at Donny, Bradford and Mansfield we’ll be 2nd or top.
