A few people (myself included) pointed out the likelihood of the AFC Wimbledon game being moved ages ago.

The FA must be really worried at how many fans would rather see Wimbledon vs Town than the world cup.....

For England to be playing at 3pm on Saturday 3rd December we would have to finish up as runners-up in group B, just saying.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Shame, wanted to go to this one, won’t make that time though.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Also, Town fans going to the game will still miss the England game (if 3pm KO), so it's a pointless exercise all round.

I think it's more likely that Wimbledon want to maximise the home attendance.

It's a shame they couldn't have organised this a month ago when fans were already talking about a potential clash. Hopefully no Town fans had already made arrangements.

Seems to me the two clubs took far too long to sort this, surely they could’ve sorted this before a ball had even been kicked this season? Or were they hoping the league made a decision?

Yeah same opinion on this here, means I'll get a ticket no problems but rubbish for those up in NE Lincs. Thought we were gonna be on for one of those days like Woking, Orient, etc when there's a good spread of those from up North and the Exiled Southern contingent. I'd much rather worry about getting a ticket for a packed away match than get one easily for a half full stand. Can't imagine we'll hit four figures for this one now.

Are many on here that are based far away gonna be bothering?

I think a fair few will still travel SoC, because it's a new ground for us. The exiles might bring friends along as well, I need 6 tickets; 3 of us are Town fans proper, 2 are Town fans for the day, the other, well I'd rather not mention who they support, but it contains an expletive...

I'm expecting 800+.

Yeah, a good gauge is probably the midweek matches in and around London last season. Bromley/Wealdstone being around the 6/7/800 mark, you'd think that plus a bit extra for the new ground factor/being a L2 match. I reckon you're probably right, 800+ would be decent all things considered.

Nothing on the OS about this yet, does anyone know if there's been anything on Twitter about it from the club?
