I would just add…..he isn’t a celebrity. He’s a disgraced public servant who is lucky to have a tax payer funded job that he’s now disregarding to feed his ego.
He really is quite a dense and inarticulate man. I remember seeing him on QT years before he was appointed Health Secretary and he was hopeless. George Galloway of all people just ripped him to shreds. How he ever got near a ministerial role is beyond me. I suppose you could say that ITV have played this well - sucking in a gullible ego that will attract viewers who want to watch him being humiliated over and over. I can’t see the other contestants taking to him either. I suppose that could make for ‘good tv’. Either way, those poor grieving relatives and friends of those who needlessly died from COVID on his watch and because of his bungling failures and disgusting acts of corruption must just feel this adds insult to injury.
